Dude, he probably was some arrogant nerdy dude, knew nothing, and probably said something to the effect of, "Those legs kicks don't hurt."

Anyone who has been around a gym at all, is not going to et Forrest kick you in the leg. It wasn't even that hard.

They guy looked like a knob.

I don't care enough about this to check, but iirc the guy was just a reporter and Forrest offered some ultimatum where the guy had to receive a leg kick for some reason.

And yea, doesn't matter how "hard" it looked if it broke the guy's leg, does it?

I respect fighters more who avoid your shots and then respond back with their own. Normally that is Anderson, but he has a tendency to clown at times. Against Maia that of course consisted of just avoiding getting hit for most of the fight.

If they were to schedule Maynard-Cerrone while Pettis waited, he'd be screwed essentially. What would be his next best option? Gleison Tibau? Jamie Varner? Evan Dunham? A re-match with Guida? Melendez will remain in Strikeforce at least through this year and Alvarez the same thing with Bellator. They are not viable options.

If Maynard were to beat Pettis I don't see a problem with giving him another title shot if Ben Henderson were still at the top. If Edgar re-claims the belt, he'll probably need another long break, so you could wait for Melendez to become available, and put Maynard in another number one contender bout. He should understand he's gotten a couple bites at the Edgar apple already and he should have to really work to earn another one.

True. I meant Melendez and/or Alvarez as options for the title shot following Diaz, which at this rate would probably be next April, if not later. The Edgar/Bendo winner vs. Diaz probably won't go down until November/December at the earliest, and even if there are no delays, that probably puts us in April for the next fight.

Melendez could probably come in and get an immediate shot.

Alvarez would need at least one win, probably more.

Has either Diaz or Pettis been promised a title shot? If not, why don't they fight each other?

Diaz was expressly promised a shot, subsequent to Pettis being led to believe he'd receive it. Looks like they're actually sticking to their guns to their guns for once, ironically at the expense of Pettis who they've now burned twice and this time might need to win two more fights before getting his opportunity. They never should have promised Diaz, but they were trying to sell Diaz/Miller as being main event worthy of a Fox show at the time. So Pettis' real options are Maynard and Cerrone. Like I said he better pick one or he'll be the person left without a chair again.

So stupid to wait when a fight is already lined up. And I agree bern, I've already seen a lot of people throw around the Cerrone/Maynard matchup. He better jump in.

Its silly because Dana said this weekend Koch may no longer get the shot just because fw is a mess. I don't see how they stick to their guns so strongly in this situation, but then screw Koch when he had the freaking fight scheduled already.

Maybe its something against Duke's guys...

Even though I was never big on the Koch title shot, he was in the right place at the right time and they gave it to him...it would be pretty **** to take it away because Aldo got injured.

If anything, Hioki losing should further cement the Koch/Aldo fight, unless they are trying to get the Korean Zombie in there (which is almost certainly the case).

I still think Maynard should have to win two more fights before getting a shot, even if Bendo is champ at the time. Squeaking by Guida (not really his fault, but still) shouldn't get you a spot in a title eliminator when you've had two title shots in your last 3 fights. I'd rather see Cerrone/Pettis than Maynard vs. either one of them as well.
