It seemed like Rockhold was afraid to throw kicks because of Kennedy's takedowns. He usually throws a ton of kicks.

Larkin/Lawler was kinda fun. Didn't think much of Larkin going in, but if you can win a stand up fight with Robbie Lawler, you can't be all that bad.
Gracie/Jardine was kind of a weird fight. Round 2 was about as clear a 10-8 as I've seen, but he couldn't put Jardine away, and even let him come back to win the 3rd. I'm also way less interested in his career now that he's moved down to MW.
Marquardt's KO on Woodley was nasty. No idea where he goes from here, but he looked really good for his first fight in a new weight class, especially after a long layoff. Dunno what to make of Woodley. Thought he was a bit better than that.
I'm still not sure why I'm supposed to be impressed by Luke Rockhold. He just seems so average. I've heard people talk about him potentially challenging Anderson Silva. What the **** does he bring to the table that would pose even the slightest problem for Silva?
I thought it was a good event. Night of the new weight classes it seems because everyone who was moving to a new weight class won. But all in all it was a good card that was dragged down by a disappointing main event. Tim Kennedy really dropped the ball. Where was the hunger? I just kept waiting for him to really pick up the pace at some point during the 5 round fight but he never did. He never really went for it in there. The fight was just Rockhold following him around and throwing occassional combinations while Kennedy would throw wild avoidable haymakers, retreat and go for a takedown once in a blue moon.
I disagree with you on Gracie though. I am still very interested in seeing where he goes from here.

Rockhold moves so beautifully, though...with an identical style to Cormier. Not surprising, I guess. Kennedy didn't put up much of a fight. He was hauling deep breaths as of the 3rd round. I'm surprised how close the stats were for a fight where Rockhold was pretty dominant. Case in point as to why CompuBox doesn't necessarily mean anything?
Lawler vs Larkin was real good.
A lot of real great technical stuff from Nate and Rockhold. A pleasure to watch.

Bisping deserves a title shot 10x more than Rockhold.
Winning streak, or even close, under the brightlights, then you get Anderson.
Feel bad for Gil/Rock.....1 fighter division Rousey, but there's a back and forth on how restrictive those contracts in SF really are.

Good summary.

Re: StrikeForce Rockhold vs Kennedy, 2 title fights ...
Anyone hear the reports that there are certain fighters in strikeforce (Gil, Rousey, Rockhold, e.g.) that are not allowed to EVER fight in the ufc for as long as showtime airs mma programming?
If that's true, that doesn't even sound legal.

It is legal because Zuffa owns both. But, Dana said these reports were not true.

I don't doubt you saw that somewhere but do you have a link?
edit: nvm. I see it now. Meltzer certainly didn't "just make that up" like Dana claimed out of nowhere. He probably got some random detail wrong. Rockhold essentially confirmed there was something like that, even though he didn't give details, and said it saddened him basically.
Noww finally got to the showtime exec interview. Seemed to be saying that zuffa just can't keep stealing strikeforce's talent. When the contract ends the fighters should be good to go.
