+ 1 on this.

He couldn`t have stopped the two punches, it`s the fact that he doesn`t move his back away from the cage when the fight goes to the ground and barely makes two small steps forward as he's watching Johnson get hit in the face. Trip, goes to floor, Dean slightly moves forward, Johnson's head bounces off the mat a couple times then he moves in. He`s literally 1-2 feet away from the fence when the fight goes to the ground in the center of the octagon while Swick has dominant position. You even see Johnson's body go limp after the first shot and Dean only inches forward. Johnson ate at least one extra shot and if Swick wasn't such a nice guy, he could have landed one more before Dean came.

Wow. Shogun is one of the most game and tough dudes to ever fight in MMA imo.

Lesser men would've cancelled that fight, and even stronger men would not have fought with this.

A true legend, through and through.

+1 to this, Johnson got rocked, Swick followed him to the ground thru his guard with a KO punch.

Yeah, I have no issue with that one.

So Machida weighs in at 201, and Dana White asks Ed Soares, "What, is he trying to move down to MW?" and Ed Soares says, "We need to talk." They never talk and now Machida is getting a title shot...

Anderson Silva has fought at 205 twice before, but didn't want to move up because Machida is in that divison. Machida could fight at MW, but he didn't want to move down because Silva is in that division. How awesome would it be if Silva moved up to face Jones, and Machida moved down to enter a MW tournament for the vacated belt? If this was the plan, it's been put on hold, but Silva saying he wants a superfight and Machida weighing in at 201 make it seem like a possibility, if not a probability.

That's actually such a genius move that you know it'll never happen. Imagine two stagnant, deep divisions becoming interesting again and at a good time too, as the #1 is firm and #2-7 or so are fairly interchangeable. Great time for a tourney in each division with Silva and Machida as the hopeful winners.

Its unreal how epic Silva calling out Jones would be. I hardly ever root for Silva but he'd probably instantly become my fav figher. :)

It was in the youtube video "Dana White UFC on FOX 4 Post Fight Full Media Scrum"

I don't remember exactly where exactly in the video it was, and I'm at a library right now so I can't even watch youtube, but it should be one of the following links"

Sorry I can't provide a better source.

Nah, that's good enough. I just wanted to know if it came from Dana himself. This sounds too good to be true, so I'll refrain from getting my hopes up for now.

That would be awesome, so I'm going to assume there's a less than 1% chance of it happening.

"Healthy Shogun" is getting up there with "Good Vitor" and "Motivated BJ Penn" in terms of legend.

Jon Jones would put Silva in the ground and Silva knows it. Silva wants nothing to do with that fight.

Here's the latest rumor, fellas. Anderson wouldn't move up to 205, he'd move down to 170. Please take this fwiw, iirc this is the source that reported Brock was returning to MMA:

Agreed.
I like Silva. I think he's a beast. But I do think his record has been padded with opponents that fit his style perfectly, and some soft contenders. To move up to face Jones would make me love him, and I'd be rooting for him so hard. If he won, we'd have witnessed the cementing of the greatest fighter ever.

It would be truly unbelievable. If he won, I wouldn't even doubt him beat JDS lol.
But with that said, I don't think he'd win. I think Jones would wrestle **** him to death.
