There's no one MW, other than MAYBE the still unproven-at-a-high-level-Weidman, who has anything possbly for Anderson.

I mean, it has gotten to the point where he just f'ks with guys and then dummies them.
I will never believe that in Sonnen/Silva 1, Anderson didn't whip that fifth round triangle off on purpose to be dramatic. He is that above the rest of them.
Schooled Chael in the second meeting.
Embarrassed Bonnar, badly.

Would destroy Rockhold, Le, Belfort (again), Jacare, and whomever else they throw in there with him.
MW is still one guy at the top of the mountain and the rest in the middle.

I think Anderson/Jones is the only thing that makes sense, because no one else will beat him.

Rashad is interesting......
He's a great wrestler with KO power.
I still thinlk he gets KO'd, but that's a closer battle.

Machida fight will NEVER happen.
Not even a chance.

There is a thin line between giving Silva a named lhw like Rashad and a gimme fight like Bader or (sadly, at this point) Shogun. He doesn't want Bones right now, won't fight Machida, they aren't going to knock off a contender in Gus/Mousasi and those aren't big fights anyway.

Call me crazy, but maybe Rampage would make sense if he didn't have Glover lined up.

What other lhws did you have in mind, sky?

You know what. The problem with the whole light heavyweight thing is that its very much like the middleweight thing for Silva. You don't want to match Silva up with certain guys because you don't want to risk Silva beating a potential future opponent for Jon Jones. At the same time, no one wants him in there with another no-hoper but who else is there. Rampage was the first guy I thought of lol. I think he would have been perfect because he's a big name that is a little dangerous but slow and faded enough that Silva should be able to beat him. Bader would also be a decent option as well. While I wouldn't get excited about that fight either but because of his youth and legitimate power he's certainly more interesting an opponent for Silva at light heavyweight than Griffin or Bonnar were.

Or how about this, how about instead of going up how about Anderson test the waters of going down in weight for a fight. Maybe he can welcome someone like Nate Marquart back to the UFC in a catchweight bout. Considering Marquart toiled at 185 for most of his career it should be easy for Marquart to make a 178-180 pound weight limit.

Rogan and Bryan Callen joking on a JRE podcast from a week or two ago about how juiced Vitor used to be. When he was 5'11'', 240. Apparently his original head coach died at 36 y/o related to over-the-top steroid abuse.

That coach...I remember Rogan talking about him months ago, without giving a name, and about him having been a coach of a major fighter. I don't suppose anyone remembers which episode that was? Cos they were much more explicit when they could protect names. Last week they were pretty careful, though obvious.

I'd give Cammo's left nut for a bag of doritos. If its not my nut I am giving up anything I get back is a bargain.

I'd be interested if you find out. I used to listen to the Callen episodes because you recommended me them for the mma talk, but now they just talk about hunting which tbh its impossible for me to care less about any topic than that, so I skip 'em. But this was recently, you say?

Interesting about Vitor's trainer, btw, I always thought he just trained under Carlson back then. Came onto the scene not too too long after Royce left. I guess he had to have learned his striking somewhere though, right?

Man, can't believe that dude has been in the game for like 17 years. Not too many MWs ranked above him either, cheat or no.

Has anyone considered the possibility of parlaying cammo's RIGHT nut into a Bones/Silva fight?

someone, but not Vitor, had an abnormal drug test. Dana seems to think there's an explanation.

so it was Tavares.

BUT the UFC also admitted that Vitor got a TRT exemption. How is Vitor allowed an exemption when he has a drug violation on hsi record??

MF. The issue is I guess that the threshold allowed by ACs/the UFC for normal test is ridiculously high. You're allowed, what, 6x the average? Someone not cheating and/or not on TRT is going to likely have the average. But because that threshold is so damn high someone on TRT can have a massive amount more.

I say, allow the TRTers THE AVERAGE and make them pay for Olympic testing throughout their camp to ensure they never get the advantage of higher (give or take a tiny amount).

Cos Vitor was clearly straight-up juicing, you could see it in his physique; he was not getting back to the average. Eff Vitor, eff his wins. Who in their right mind would fight him anytime in the future? It's so damn unfair for Bisping and for any future opponents. A loss means you lose immediate money, long-term money, and if you get your lights shut off you lose personal health and career health.

Yup, Vitor wins when he is juicing, but I suspect, like Overeem, when they are not it, are mentally-fragile.

Well, wins most fights, other than when Anderson puts his foot on your face and you fall down in a heap.
