I wouldn't compare Big Foot and JJ in terms of leg kick prowess.

I honestly don't see how, if Cormier can make 205 without complications, this won't be anything other than a controversial 48-47ish UD or SD. Both are basically video game characters.

If we're doing MMA math, Cormier destroys Rashad. Breaks his face and then eats his breakfast. Vitor too. And Shogun.

Well for the LHW title, I'm taking Bones in that fight.

As it seems it will happen.

We'll see how it goes down, and who was right.

Rashad. Lyoto. Shogun. Vitor.

All 205'rs.

Are you missing what I'm saying, or what?

Here's the point: at 205, I think Bones wins.
DC at HW, I think he's a top 3 guy.

I really think Bones wins at a 205 bout.
If you are so sure of DC in a 205 victory, go see a bookie.

I don't see any justification behind what you're saying. All you said as justification behind your reasoning is that he might not be the same guy after cutting.

I don't understand this statement:

It's like Josh Barnett is some sort of slouch (with wins over Sergei Kharitonov, Big Nog, Randy, prime Alexander Emelianenko) and as is Antonio Silva (who holds wins over both Fedor and Overeem alongside being the only guy to beat Travis Browne). In terms of length and size, those two are just as big as Jones....

I mean, calling Vitor at 205 a much tougher opponent than both Silva and Barnett? What? He's beaten who exactly at 205 in the past 10 years? I don't want you to waste your time. I've got the list ready for you. Since 2002 at 205, Vitor has faced (Chuck-L, Marvin Eastman-W, Randy- W(due to cut), Randy-L, Tito-L, Overeem-L, Anthony Rea-W (who?), Overeem-L, Kazuo Takahashi-W (this was Takahashi's 20th loss, btw), Hendo-L, Ivan Serati-W, James Zikic-W)

So, that's a 6-6 record with wins over the immortal Marvin Eastman, Anthony Rea, Razuo Takahashi, Ivan Serati and James Zikic and a fluke win over Randy. These guys have a combined 122-78 record.

That's not the point that I was trying to make. I think that while Cormier may have a hard time checking-leg kicks, Jones has never faced a wrestler like Cormier who can make him pay with leg-kicks by catching them and taking Jones down.

I don't see how there's an argument as to who has faced tougher competition. Jones has beaten 5 former UFC champions. He's defended his UFC belt 4 times. Cormier has 2 top 10 wins.

I'd take Machida P4P over Barnett or Bigfoot. Machida became the champion while being undefeated, and he makes other fighters look like amateurs.

I can't wait to see how Cormier looks. It'll answer some questions, for sure.

Jones isn't just gonna throw swing kicks to the legs, though...he's got stomps and sidekicks and a million other things. Things you can't just grab. And he's dextrous as heck, you reach down to grab a kick coming at your leg, it's slamming into your temple.

Negative.

Just nothing else to say.

We'll discuss again after DC and Jonny fight.
