Sadly, it'll probably take a tragedy like the Chris Benoit incident to light a fire under their asses. The hell these guys put their bodies through is similar as are the reasons for doing so, and like Vince McMahon, Dana and co. say the right things, but you know they'd grant everyone an exemption if they could. Pro wrestling's approach to *abuse* didn't really change until Dateline and CNN couldn't ignore it any longer and came snooping around.

(not to blame *steroids* or *TRT TUEs* solely... there's a powderkeg of violence + brutish men + a "don't be a pussy and get back to work" attitude + various abuses in MMA... I think the parallels to pro wrestling are so similar)

Yea light a fire under their asses may mean that they just aren't motivated to stop it. On the contrary, they don't want it to stop as they enjoy the higher performing athletes and highlights they provide.

UFC can't sit here and talk about how happy they are that TRT is gone while simultaneously hiding away Vitor in Brazil for every fight, using those headkicks in all their highlight videos, putting Chael in headliner after headliner, etc.

Brazil AC to follow Vegas, Dan Henderson to be the last TUE granted in Brazil.

Was Hendo on trt vs Vitor? I know he was off it for Rashad.

This was long overdue. Read an article where Chael said that he may have to quit the sport now. Bottom line is that if you maybe ca not fight without TRT, maybe you should not be fighting in the first place.

It will be interesting to see how all these guys look without their PEDs. If Vitor, Sonnen, Hendo, etc. all fall off a cliff, will it affect their legacies? I think its a legitimate question.

Sonnen's legacy (whatever it is) is in the most danger. Was he ever relevant without them? I'm not sure when he started.

At least Vitor and Hendo have their early careers to fall back on, though who knows what they were on back then.

Pre trt-Vitor was juiced early career, that is confirmed who knows about Hendo and I don't want to make accusations but I'd be lying if I said I didn't suspect ALL Pride guys. People like Rogan and Bas, insiders in the mma industry, have confirmed suspicions that most Pride guys were on steroids.

I saw this interesting thread on the UG talking about fighters "revised" records after factoring in PED users. Bisping in particular has pretty much only lost to PED abusers besides like Rashad and maybe one more. Fedor lost to TRT Hendo and Bigfoot although Bigfoot may be the one legit case, etc.

Absolutely agree with you. If Sonnen possibly retires- Sonnen's legacy is in the most danger. Vitor was still a HW tournament winner and LHW champ early in his career. Hendo held two belts in Pride. Sonnen will always have question marks with his career now.
