I forgot to get them in, I worked the event. Nobody else picked the Bisping/Kennedy card, but me. No one but you,me and RZ play. And I didn't submit the wrong card, I thought you guys said we would do the Bisping card, then I forgot to get the Fox card in.

I thought 5 were still playing with Cammo and Gibby.

With a significant decrease in participation, it looks like we aren't going to be playing anymore due to a confluence of factors. Maybe we tweak it in the future to only play the big events to reflect the current interest in and knowledge of the UFC. Things are definitely not like they used to be, as has been discussed here.

In the future, I think it either needs to be smartened up (every event, more advanced scoring), to get the hardcore crowd back into it, or dumbed down (only major events, perhaps only main card fights) to get the more casual fans into it. Or maybe it's just fine and the overall waning interest in the UFC is to blame.

Defined roles are a must as well. As nice as the "everybody pitch in from time to time" idea is, it clearly doesn't work. Someone needs to be the scorer or it just goes to ****. Same goes for posting the events in a timely manner. I tried to keep up without playing this season, but probably didn't do a good enough job.

In the mean time, I hope the lack of a place to make picks results in more people doing pre-fight predictions and analysis. Not that I think anyone is holding back, but in an event thread there's more room for discussion.

I'll be honest, I don't think I'd ever be down to do every event. Hell we even combined events in the past and those were barely worth doing. Sh*t like John Hathaway headlining cards lol no offense to him. I'd be down to somehow compete just using fox and ppvs only.

Or else I just share my mma bets which is what I've been focusing on lately anyway. It was fun when people participated and definitely had a good run.

Yeah, it might be worth revisiting the idea of an MMA bets thread. Or just discuss it in each event thread. I hardly bet anymore, but I still often think of things in terms of odds.

I think, at the end of the day, the international tufs are playing a large part in both watering down the ufc's product and killing this pool. Aint nobody got time to watch the like 3 versions of tuf they have going at any random time these days.

Matt Brown/Erick Silva UFC Fight Night is the next event, on May 10th. Are we picking that or is this done for?
