It was a decent fight, but given Floyd's fighting time span left, I don't want to see a rematch

Fine by me. I didn't see a Maidana win, but I also didn't see 9-3 like the other judge had it. Oh well.

Yeah, much closer IMO. Didn't one score it 117-111?

Yeah, that's 9 rounds to 3 in favor of Mayweather. I don't mind it too much. I thought they at least got the right guy if it wasn't a draw.

Close fight, thought Mayweather won it 7 rounds to 5. Maidana fought him as tough as anyone possibly ever has outside of Castillo. Made it a really rough fight for Floyd. I don't agree with 117-111 at all, that one just seems really wide. Even the 116 card was a tad wide..I think that's about as far as you can go for Mayweather. 115-113 seems about right.

Broner wasn't all that impressive to me. Seemed more interesting in clowning around than fighting. I think it shows that he hasn't settled in after the Maidana fight and didn't really show me anything to suggest that a different result would occur if the two were to fight again soon.

man this guy is a thrower and brawler, but has very little skill and not much diverse punching...yet he still gave mayweather trouble...a highly skilled striker in manny would be a nightmare for may...would make a nice fight and mayweather knows this

This is a simpleminded thought process. There is a saying style makes fights. There is a reason why Frazier and Norton had alot of success vs Ali because of their infighting skill despite Ali being a master out fighter.. I doubt that Manny would pose any threat to Mayweather as he isn't an infighter whatsoever. He would get caught with much more regularity and likely would get KO''ed.

I kind of disagree with you a bit Rasho. There's no way Mayweather would KO Pacquiao. Absolutely no shot. He's just not that kind of puncher anymore. His last legit KO was against Hatton. The one against Ortiz doesn't count either.

I see Pacquiao frustrating Mayweather at times with his hand speed, footwork and awkward angles. Even at his advanced age he's still more skilled in those 3 aspects than any of Mayweather's last handful of opponents. You just don't have to be an infighter and pressure fighter in order to have success. I think that point is being overstated a bit by boxing fans. That being said, I think Pac would still come up short because he just isn't aggressive as he used to be. I know styles make fights, but I actually think Pac is the only boxer ATM that could play chess with him in short spurts.
