How long til Herman vs Alvey, for ginger championship? Do they wait to tantalize it, build them up, or go straight for the immediate PPV buys?

Alvey had an America's Top Model winner as his main second? WTF? Her advice seemed sound.

Extremely disappointing from McMann, I don't think she deserved the decision. Just hasn't made the transition to MMA well at all.

I think McMann won the fight, but I agree it was a disappointing showing. She has a chance to be the female Chad Mendes, but seems to be settling for just laying and praying.

Lay and pray is one thing, but lay and get hit a lot is a step below that in terms of winning a fight. That was some very ineffective lay and pray she had. It was a close decision, but I don't think i would have given it to her.

haha. went back to Alvey's weigh-in...Uncle Dana was none-too-happy with the thong gag. yet, he was a hot prospect?

how serious can he be to bring his GF to the octagon as his chief second? Wiman does it but sort of part of his holistic approach to preparedness. that other big goofball HW did it too...didn't quite work-out.

Alvey isn't a hot prospect. He's a middle of the road vet who struggled on TUF and won't stick around the UFC for long.

But, at least he has a hot wife.

Yeah, nobody ever said he was a hot prospect. Just a guy who has been around quite a while, deserved his shot already, and I disagree with Cammo should stick around for a few years if the UFC isn't short-sighted or holds the weigh-in spectacle against him. Saturday night didn't dispute that theory. He displayed the natural octagon jitters to begin with and then rallied to near get the finish in a match-up against another decent guy but who wasn't a good match-up for him. Alvey has good tdd and solid striking, the latter which he heavily favors. So he matches up better with a wrestler or well-rounded guy, not a guy who also wants to stand but has somewhat better stand-up.
