I think he said "not for gay Jesus" as in "Jesus would not approve of this gay approving thing you just did".

Source: my mom is Portuguese and barely speaks English, this sounds like something she would say.

I'm pretty sure he said "not forget Jesus"

But the whole anti-gay angle does fit pretty well with the rest of his rant and his post fight press conference didn't make anymore sense

Awful unintended consequence of the internet, the way only a fraction of people online seemingly understand that free speech also means people are allowed to react to your free speech however they see fit (esp. discipline from an employer or a drop in support via the public if your comments were made for public consumption). In a comment thread with 50 unique authors, you'll have 10 genuine dipsticks who think Romero should sue because of his rights or something and we're all wrong for calling him an idiot.

That said, Romero's not going to do anything to affect gay rights anywhere, even in Cuba things are changing. My old boss who openly said he'd never hire figgits would. Also, with the language barrier, it's not the worst offense. I think in the rush to defend certain marginalized groups, we forget about others... and yeah, a devout athlete from Cuba is probably going to need someone to explain not just not to say certain things in certain places, but why you should not say certain things in certain places. I doubt these big, bad men who punch him at training have ever talked to him about this ("maricon" probably flows like water). Hopefully, this becomes a learning opportunity (or whatever) and he`s not driven out of town on the PC bus like Yunel Escobar was.

Read mma forums for 10 minutes and you start to question if Romero was arrested for his comments. Zuffa took away his free speech, his sponsors took away his free speech, hell I think even little Kenny Florian somehow managed to take away his free speech!
