Just determined, forward-moving straight into punishment is not a sound strategy. The worst movement. Hunched over and swaying, always off balance, never shifting his weight. He's not improving is the thing. He's a hillbilly, you can see it. He thinks this is a virtue. But even Cerrone has come a long, long way in the past 3-4 years. Not Roop.

Considering the dehydration and the lack of neck or shoulder-girdle, he's going to be a mess. Stop fighting.

Ive feel the same about him.
I actually cringe when I hear he is on a card. Him and Struve are the two guys I absolutely don't like watching fight for this reason.

BTW, I want to say I listened to Barnett's podcast when he had Ralek on, and he said catch was somehow the origin of bjj. Maybe I'm getting that twisted somehow. I do know that I have read some accounts saying that the Gracies never even trained with Maeda though, who knows.

Hmmm... maybe in Japan or something. Sakuraba was trained by Billy Robinson.

I may have to dig up that episode but I think Barnett was just saying that some catch dudes went into Brazil and that was how luta livre was formed (I'm pretty sure this is accepted), and that pretty much the Gracies just marketed luta livre as Gracie jiu jitsu. I'm foggy on the details.

worst thing that ever happened to Roop is that head kick Ko of KZ. anchors highlight packages enough to keep him fighting. he's 15 and 12! is there anyone in the ufc with a worse record?

I swear to God something personal happened to or between Anik / Florian during this broadcast. They were chipper and fine for the prelims, as I now watch them. But things were awkward and sparse by the time the maincard hit. I don't know if they were, like, scolded or something. Or if something between them happened. But there were a lot of long, 12-15 sec pauses by the time the maincard rolled around.

Anik's wife texted him pics of her being ploughed by Kenny, "your ****'s on the front lawn, I'm taking the kids, and their being raised by Kenny & I."

And I'm now noticing they missed their Tuesday podcast.

Diarrhea could also be the answer.
