Seems like you were right and wrong about the RDA thing. I'm listening to an interview with Conor's coach right now and he said that he had heard rumors around the ufc that Conor would only get an immediate shot at the LW belt if Cerrone beats RDA, but not if RDA remained champ. That said, after the performance this weekend, the ufc (in the form of Joe Silva) said "you tell us" when the coach had asked what are the options for Conor next.

Also, didn't realize George Lockhart helped Conor with his cut. That probably made a huge difference without the IV. For those unfamiliar (and I'm mostly unfamiliar, just know what I read/hear), here is the analogy:

Dolce: Bro Science
Lockhart: Real Science

Conor going to LW just strengthens the best division in the sport just that much more. What a f*ckin shark tank man, guys all in their primes btw:

RDA - 31
Pettis - 28
Khabib - 27
Conor - 27
Cerrone - 32
Ferguson - 31
M. Johnson - 29
Alvarez - 31
Dariush - 26
Barboza - 29
Jury - 27

Not even including other amazing fighters like Poirier, Iaquinta, Dunham, etc.

Didn't he get a point taken for the fence grab and lost the top position that he was in?

Ironically Jacare wanted to remain on the ground.

Yeah he did look upset about the standup. Looked at the ref like "wtf, I was getting ready to get busy"
