I don't think being bulky is good for fighting. Neither for striking nor for grappling, so it is definitely interesting.

That photo was probably taken immediately after his training, so the pump might be a little deceiving.

I thought Rumble had no shot against DC. Jones should be a comfortable favorite.

Jon's caption on a recent Instagram post: "Earned this light heavyweight title back then moved to heavyweight? The thought of lifting heavier and eating more is starting to sound like a much better life to me"

Also, this: "Lean at 231lbs" :o Image

I know Jones is a great great fighter, but you give a guy like DC a second shot against him, I think the result could be different. Also, I think Jones looks too pumped up in that photo. Looks more like a bodybuilder than a fighter. Maybe he's moving up to HW.

DC beating Rumble doesn't prove that he can beat Jon Jones, just like how Rumble beating Gustafson doesn't prove that he can beat DC, just like how Gustafson beating Shogun doesn't prove he can beat Rumble, just like how Shogun beating Brandon Vera doesn't prove he can beat Gustafson, just like how Brandon Vera beating Eliot Marshall doesn't prove he can beat Shogun.

Jon Jones is on another level.

Compared to 1st fight this is each fighters pluses and minuses:

DC pluses:

- more tested
- champion ( advantages in judges eyes)
- less period between fights
- more 5 round fights
- Cain in camp

DC minuses:

- chin (Rumble and Gus KDs)
- age
- was beaten once by Jones

Jones pluses:

- better training
- better motivation
- less cocaine
- knowledge how to beat DC

Jones minuses:

- more period between fights
- all "his ****" with being stripped
- being contender (judges)

I don't think anyone really views Jon as the contender.

Some thoughts.
DC improvements:
- more tested in LHW and in 5 round fights (and generally faced more adversity).
- wouldnt this time underestimate Jones
- Cain in camp
- He is Champ now

DC minuses compared to first fight:
- Dropped from Gus and Rumble (chin)
- He is older now
- Long layoff
- Maybe worst mentality

Jones improvements:
- This is rematch, so his camp and strategy (Jackson vs AKA) advantage would be even bigger.
- No coke (?)
- Motivation better
- He is stronger now
- He know how to beat DC

Jones minuses:
- Layoff (his version vs OSP was awful)
- Powerlifting (?)
- USADA testing

JBJ showed good fight IQ with OSP, really calculated approach, although he was a bit stiff from powerlifting. But i see him and Greg Jackson adjusting his training so they will come really prepared.
DC improved since the last fight, actually showed he can cover distance better against tall opponents ( GUS fight) and ussing uppercuts and dirty boxing.

Problem for DC is that JBJ camp is too smart and they will adjust.
I see rounds 1-3 being very competetive and JBJ taking over in 4+5 using his superior strength, athleticism and youth.

Close desicion by JBJ.

Nope, I'm going by overall what we have seen from Jones in the UFC and because he and DC hate each other. Jones smashes him this time.
