I had no idea.

Ex-coach allegedly assaults Matt Brown at hotel, files charges against Brown's friend after ensuing fight

Brown’s wife and UFC analyst Brian Stann tweeted about the incident hours later.

Didn't they have an altercation a year or two back? He claimed Browne punched him during class or something? Hard to recall the details.

That walk out is rediculous. Extend the damn walk out aisle, and have extra security follow the fighters. Anyone getting hit etc is immediately removed and charged (if necessary). no one should be assaulted by a bunch of faceless cowards.

He wore sneakers on his mats, so he pushed Brown. brown punched him and opened some stitches and called the cops or something.

Widening the walkout path would take seats away from the venue. Can't have that. Be grateful the fighters and their coaches don't have to crowd surf to octagon.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure the coach is crazy, but Brown is a disgusting pig for wearing shoes on the mat if that's true.

I remember being at a grappling tournament a year or two back, and some whitebelt walked into the bathroom barefoot before competing. Some people deserve terrible things to happen to them.

It sounds like he wore wrestling shoes on the mat, not his sneakers.

LOL @ BJJ drawing that line. I have seen such disgusting things in BJJ locker rooms...unbelievable things. Dudes heading straight from the toilet stall to the mat (enjoy that inverted triangle). Guys filing up to drink with their cupped hands from a bathroom sink during a break from drills - not washing their hands, straight from the mats.
Hi love, bye love, I will miss my love.

I think maybe Werdum got hit clean and was maybe trying to get Stipe back? It looked like that.

Stipe's number one skill is keeping distance - hips back, feet under him, full extension on his punches. Super terrible traditional boxing movement but that fleet-footedness puts his punches at optimum length, and it's crazy-effective. Evidently.

Careening after him with your chin out is the last thing you should do. I had tried to bet on Werdum but there was a technical error on the betting app, thankfully.

You realize that there is more than one bjj gym right? Maybe just because you trained at a pig sty doesn't mean that other gyms hold the same standards.

That said, obviously you are correct and there are some dirty a** places. I once met someone (from another gym) who said he doesn't shower after rolling because he wanted to build a natural immunity to staph. I'm not making this up. Dudes at open mats and such with "bug bites" and other suspicious marks on their skin. I'm lucky enough to train at a place where the mat gets cleaned after every class and that has showers.

My evidence comes from personal experience in a whopping two BJJ gyms, if that's any better.

The gym can only be as clean as its members, to some degree. And there are way too many dudes with stomach-turning hygiene habits. Striking sports are more civil; it doesn't matter how grodey the dude is if all that's going to touch you are his clothed knuckles.

Its a culture thing, in my experience. Although true germ freaks probably aren't going to do too well in any grappling environment.

Def. agree that striking gyms are better in that regard.

Werdum might still be the best HW. And if not him than "being cautious" Overeem. Or sea level Cain of course.

Miocic vs. Overeem @ UFC 203 in Cleveland.

It will never happen, but hoping ( praying) that Miocic opens up the underdog!

Going to Cleveland, that's awesome as I don't think they've ever done it.

Perfect fight. Overeem deserves it.

War Stipe!

Ya, Stipe was at the Cavs/Raps game, mentioned that it was the first time for the UFC in Cleveland. Pretty cool.
