Obviously being well rounded is going to help you win fights. But I like the grapplers who are unapologetic for their grappling. Sure fighters need to train everything but nothing wrong with trying plan A first (and second, and third...) if it's working for you. I mean you don't often see strikers going "I'm the far better striker in this matchup but I'm going to take this to the ground and prove I can BJJ."
Yeah, I'm generally more interested in guys who are amazing at something and I just hope that they can bring the other facets of their game up to a point where they can use their A+ tools. Generic dudes who are good at MMA don't really interest me all that much. I'm now trying to reconcile this statement with guys like Lauzon and Miller, who aren't that high in the rankings, but to me are **** awesome at various aspects of MMA. Dunno.
On an unrelated note, any usage of let me bang bro, like Redd's statement that someone bangs with too many bros, **** kills me.
