Yeah, I've thought of that before, in regards to making this hypothetical match-up at least a little interesting. Boxing, but effectively bare knuckle as they do in the UFC. I'd want him to come halfway and make it a muay thai/kb'ing bout, he doesn't even have to worry about going to the ground, but I'm sure that would be too much to ask from a guy who manages his career VERY carefully. But we aren't going to learn who the better striker is, just better boxer. And we pretty much already know that it's Floyd.

The problem is that Conor eats Floyd up in every martial art except boxing, and Floyd boxes Conor up with ease in boxing.

That's why I don't see why people care so much about this fight that will never happen anyway.

Nitpicking, but it's not pretty much. From what I understand, Floyd has a legit claim to being the P4P GOAT. Conor is very good by MMA standards, but I don't think we can downplay that gap.

I think a boxing match would be embarrassing for Conor, but if he got 30+ million, maybe he wouldn't care.

As you said, kickboxing would be ideal, but not going to happen.

Floyd's greatest skill is hiding behind boxing gloves though. Take away the gloves and it's a completely different game.
