Also "best ref in the sport" Big John with the late stoppage. Roy basically just stopped punching.

I was gonna say Struve is another guy who needs to walk away while he's still capable of eating solid foods. Then I remembered that even he knocked out Silva.

The fact that she got busted for taking steroids, which have a much greater effect on women than men, and which she would still be reaping the benefits of even if she stopped using means that I hope that she never fights again.

Love that Roy did that to Jon. That was uncomfortable to watch.
He could have killed the guy. He was out cold. I think he may have broke his jaw on the last hit. It was brutal and silvas jaw looked jacked and awkward after the fight,

I could understand Roy's frustration. McCarthy should've stopped the fight after the first hit after getting dropped.

Did anyone see Felder's cut? My god that was bad. Seven straight wins for Trinaldo, at 38 years old, in the best division in the sport, is pretty inspiring.

I was going to make a post that Felder seems like the guy to me who hasn't been able to put it all together, although looking at his record I guess it isn't as bad as I thought. I remember him being someone hyped, having a crazy fight with who I think is the best striker at LW in Barboza, and then reading how bernman whose opinion I respect thought very highly of him - and thinking that he would be a really good fighter. He immediately lost to Pearson and tbh was on his way to a 30-27 loss vs Trinaldo.

It was a nasty cut. Probably the biggest cut I've seen since Diego Sanchez. I mean, that thing OPENED UP.

Agree about Felder being a guy who hasn't been able to put it together. After his loss to Barboza, I chalked it up to inexperience but losing to Pearson hurt his stock.

Nutritionist George Lockhart says Brazilian commission allowed Cris Cyborg to weigh-in slightly above 141

Footage from a video blog released by Justino's team appeared to show the digital scale used at UFC Fight Night 95's official weigh-ins listing Justino several ounces above her 141-pound limit. Her weight was subsequently announced by CABMMA officials simply as 141 pounds.

"That was up to the commission, I believe, so I think you get a variable in there," Lockhart said. "And a lot of people don't know this, a lot of times when you step on the scale, a lot of the digital scales, especially in the U.S., it only goes by .5. So if you're, let's say, 171.2, it rounds down to 171. If you're 171.3, then it rounds up. So a lot of people don't know that, but again, I'm going to get you down to the damn gram (that you need to be at), so you don't have to sit in a bath longer than need be, so you don't have to work out any longer than you need to."

Justino defeated Lansberg via second-round TKO at UFC Fight Night 95, extending her unbeaten streak to 18 straight fights. Afterward, Justino said that she would be willing to fight in the UFC again at 140 pounds, but only against a top-10 bantamweight opponent.

Coincidentally, I think Felder has the same main problem as Barboza had, but which he's remedied for the most part. That being that he's very technical but he has a predictable tempo and movement pattern which he doesn't break from that opponent's can take advantage of. Felder needs to break his own comfortable rhythm if he's going to be a factor in the division eventually. The tools are there I think.

Concurrently, he needs to capitalize on his cred from UFC/MMA to become a better version of Chuck Norris. Felder is a trained actor. Norris' training looked it came from watching a couple silent films. Then they told him on set he had to talk.

? at the end. I suppose that means it's the way you were programmed to react, but you're questioning it. That's a good start.

It would also behoove Felder to develop a guard, for when he actually does get taken down (he has good tdd). He has a great training partner to teach him that part of the game in Cowboy. Don't know if he's the right guy to show him how to switch-up his rhythm, and move his head, however. But he has more fluidity which Felder doesn't possess that helps him overcome the drawback somewhat, at least offensively.

Yea, I didn't want to harp on it because its 90% of what I post about on here, but his guard sucks.

http://www.mmafighting.com/2016/9/27/13081116/cris-cyborg-helps-deliver-solid-ratings-for-ufc-fight-night-95

The question of whether Cris Cyborg Justino can draw in a main event capacity was answered when Saturday night's UFC Fight Night from Brasilia, Brazil did 1,109,000 viewers, up 34 percent from the previous week's show headlined by Michael Johnson's win over Dustin Poirier.

The show was the ninth-most watched Fight Night since the inception of FS 1 more than three years ago, and the most-watched FOX Fight Night or TUF finals show ever headlined by a women's fight. It broke the mark of 1,086,000 set by the Joanna Jedrzejczyk strawweight title defense against Claudia Gadelha on July 8. It was the most-watched Fight Night since the March 19 show headlined by Mark Hunt vs. Frank Mir.

I love watching Cyborg. She's got that must watch feel to her fights due to her 'can't be beat' feel.

as for the weight thing, this was something Diaz cried about during the GSP fight wasn't it? GSP being slightly over 171, like a few decimals higher and they rounded down? He said the Canadian guys favoured him, and others brought up that this is actually pretty normal.

Well the fight was contracted at 140 and they initially didn't think they were even allowed to weigh in at 141. I think the crack Brazilian commission sort of arbitrarily said she could do 141 at the last minute. Then come to find out that she technically weighed in at 142 (141.6 rounds up), it is kind of sketchy imo. 141.6 is a farcry from 140, really when you are talking about someone cutting from the 170s.

Anyway, I didn't read the quote but saw on social media that Ronda wants the Cyborg fight (via Dana). Did you see that?

I think it's just Dana talking. I don't think Rousey told him another one way or another on the subject. That could mean Dana wants it, which is interesting itself...
