I was rooting for Pena. Not because I like her (she's unlikable), but because I realized yesterday that I actually watched the first Nunes/Shevchenko fight and just straight up don't remember it. Must not have been very interesting, and it happened not that long ago. I would have preferred a fresh matchup.

That said, its cool that the same chick who has outstruck the likes of Holm and Joanna is out there armbarring people.

BTW, Cerrone in between rounds was a **** mess. Glassy eyed...you could see him trying to figure out where he was, looking around trying to pretend like it's cool. He could not focus on Jackson, he was trying to escape total daze. That's a concussion.

The fight should have been stopped at 4:59, first of all. But also in between rounds (by his corner, the doctor, and Herb). It's 2017.

Bernman wrote:Yeah, I saw it the same way. Jumped in to stop it before the horn sounded and waved his arms in the traditional motion. If he meant it was just the end of the round he would have simply separated them. I think he changed his mind because of a combo of it being durable Cerrone and not wanting to potentially spoil a great fight for fans, the organization, and commission (company man instincts). He's always second guessing his stoppage choices. That's why he alternates between way too late and way too early. In that instance the horn gave him a bailout, but really to those paying attention it just made it another error from Herb, and another egregious one.

Bruh. It's ridiculous to make that speculation.
Hi love, bye love, I will miss my love.

Unless you would have been the one making it.

Of course there has to be a reason. Don't think he changes the decision if it's Joe Bob Smith. It's natural if the fighter and match-up influenced the decision to let the fight continue.
