Petr Yan vs Cejudo is a top desired fight. I believe in Cejudo but think Yan is a really tough challenge. And the obvious top contender. He was the most talented fighter across the card on Saturday.

Think Henry might avoid that fight, unfortunately. Aldo is easy picking.

Jorge would be an idiot to fight Colby when he has other options for bigger, yet easier fights.

1) Nate Diaz who he already knows isn't competitive with him.
2) Nick Diaz who has already had his eggs cracked and scrambled.
3) Conor, who may be fighting at 170 next because he wants the "BMF" belt.

Not to quote myself, but Ariel basically echoes what I said here. Dana said Masvidal/Usman but Ariel says Jorge wants to fight either Conor if he wins, or a Diaz brother. I'm sure UFC could throw enough money at him to make him fight Usman, but I doubt it happens.

FWIW Usman doesn't want the Masvidal fight either. He says Leon Edwards is more deserving. Props to Usman for that. He wants who he perceives as the most deserving challenger as opposed to just the biggest name.

You don't think Usman thinks Edwards is more deserving because he beat him once already?

IMO Ali's clients are less interested in major money fights than other agents are.

No, not at all. That fight was four years ago and Edwards is on an 8 fight win streak.

If not for the deserving thing, what possible motivation would Usman have to pick Edwards over Masvidal when Masvidal is the much bigger money fight?

Edwards is not a KO threat and Usman is decision artist. Stylistically, Edwards is easy picking. He's not evasive, he's not 1-strike KOing people. Usman can grind him into the fence for a UD.

It's in Usman's best interests to have the biggest money fight possible. The difference in name value of Masvidal vs. Edwards is HUGE but the difference in risk in either beating Usman isn't nearly as large and if anything is in Leon's favor.

I really don't think Masvidal is a threat to Usman, Maia took down Masvidal 4-5 times in three rounds.

Kind of crazy the heat Colby has generated for himself. People talked about the poor ratings for the Lawler event but damn he was all over the left leaning media this week.

Good PPV

Petr is Legit,Faber unfortunately looked a bit too slow, not confident with his timing in top competition

Aldo decision was weird, Who TF said he backed up round 3? Aldo chased all 3 rounds , i had Aldo winning 2 rounds and 50/50 on a third. He really bothered Marlon.

Nunes V Germaine was fantastic, A little better ground work and Germaine wins that fight. She survived some really horrific positions,. Absolute heart of a fighter

Alex. Them leg kicks. Would love a re-match

Colby V Usman

1. Had it 2-2, I dont see 3-1, I just cant.
2. LOL at anyone accusing Usman of drug cheating. It's an accusation coming from a dude who puts on a **** persona to draw attention. Hook line and sinker. Be more intelligent guys
3.Interesting to see what happens, Still have Colby as top 3 in the division. I dont think there is anyone else around in the division who goes with him in 5 rounds, Does he drop a weight class? Dont think he will be as effective in the heavier class

Yeah, I see that.

But I also don't trust that any fighter would not be ultimately looking out for their self-interest, either by looking to maximize a given purse or by looking for easy fights that will max their title reign (Tyron style).

I didn't realize that stupid book was called Triggered. Joe Rogan is such a Please Use More Appropriate Word. He barely beat **** DTJr. on the culture war talking point

I actually listened to a show with him recently where he said someone else stole the name for their comedy special and had to call him and apologize because they didn't realize he already used it. I think it was Bill Maher but I'm not sure.

Haha. Is Rogan shocked that two comedians in 2018 could have stumbled upon Triggered as the name for their special aimed at white middle-class men, aged 18-39?

It's also possible Usman just knows Masvidal won't take that fight. Hell I'd rather fight a puffy Nick Diaz too.
