I'm tuning in now, but apparently Johny Hendricks called in to mmajunkie podcast today to call out Carlos Condit. Is pissed that Condit called out Kampmann instead of him, says he should be no one contender, says he should get respect.

With Kampmann out for surgery, let's see this one.

edit: wants Condit in Toronto.

Unless GSP can't fight in November, I'd rather Condit wait.

Considering that Fedor has already fought in Strikeforce, is there any chance we get to see the Black Fedor against the real Fedor?

A combo of Fedor/Sylvia for those strikeforce heavies may be the best combo that could be hoped for outside of the zuffa banner.

Well from what I understand he's planning on competing in the Combat Sambo World Championships or something in November. So unless the UFC makes him a really good offer to take on Cormier or Barnett that's what he's probably doing next. But realistically I don't know what else he can do. Considering there isn't much in the way of quality heavyweight opposition outside of the big three UFC/Strikeforce/Bellator and that two of those that remain will be chosen to fight Cormier and Barnett there really isn't all that much out there for Fedor for his next fight if he chooses to keep fighting after Rizzo. So whose left that M-1 would be a legit choice for Fedor. Todd Duffee?

Ring had just finished a yoga class and had gone to Starbucks for a coffee when he said he noticed a group of what he believed were 10 people beating up on a young couple and robbing them. He said he saw the group run off with the woman's backpack after beating the couple up.

He pulled over, checked on the victims, then got back in his car and chased the assailants. When he got near them, he jumped out of the car and chased on foot. A bystander, whose name was not released, also gave chase and held down one of the alleged assailants as Ring called police.

Ring called the pack of kids who assaulted the couple "hoodlums" and said they showed no courage.

Sidenote: I can't imagine how masculine it must feel to be able to break up something like that with multiple assailants, knowing you can pretty much do whatever you want to them, even if you're outnumbered. Take one out and the rest scatter. Still takes a massive pair to do something like that, he had no idea if they were armed.

Idk, I think that it would feel more masculine to win a UFC fight than to scare off some punk teens.

IDK if it was just Dana being Dana or what, but he told Ariel that Shogun said he'd rather be cut than fight Glover Texeira. Followed up with "Ive never seen a guy the level of Shogun not want to fight a guy so bad".

Other things Dana said according to Ariel:

Hendricks/Kampmann to fight soon.
Would love to do Bones/Silva but Silva's ego would be an issue

Also, really hope Daley wasn't cut from strikeforce just to be signed for the ufc event in the UK.

Losing record in strikeforce doesn't merit a ufc stint, especially with his punching after the bell and missing weigh history.

WTF, according to fightersonly, Bibiano Fernandes came out and said that he isn't injured, but that he never signed a deal with the ufc. Couldn't negotiate a contract, was unhappy with something, it seems.

This is so weird because I swear I heard his trainer or someone confirm it recently in an interview. And wasn't he scheduled for a fight?

It's possible, although unlikely. He teased that he's just signed a contract with the best international organization in the world ___ Fighting Championship. Could be UFC theoretically, but more likely he's referring to One or Bellator.

lol. The UFC probably arrogantly assumed Bibiano would accept whatever lowball offer they made toward him now that Dream was out of the picture. Scheduling a match-up involving a fighter who hasn't signed with you has to be a first for a major organization, and is high comedy.

If you are right about that bern, it really does show how much the ufc controls the media. Every outlet has picked up and ran with the story that Fernandes is injured the last few days. Then he allegedly comes out and says what? I'm not injured, and what? I'm not with the ufc. lol

It shows how much Dana lies and tries to pawn off blame onto his fighters (fans were accusing Bibiano of insurance fraud). In this case he didn't realize it wouldn't work out because Bibiano was never one of his fighters so he wasn't muzzled and the truth would eventually come out.
