I mean in theory usyk should outbox him but when wilder can kill someone with a nothing punch it’s hard to have confidence he can avoid that for a whole fight.

Of course there is a lot of he said she said going around but at the end of the day what matters most is that Terrence Crawford and Errol Spence will not be fighting this year. Crawford didn't want to go without a fight in 2022 and felt things were dragging on too long with Spence so he moved on. His opponent is ok as for as stay busy fights go but not at Crawford's level nor is this fight even remotely PPV worthy even at a $40 price point. His opponent is more gatekeeper level and appropriate for guys like Conor Benn. But at least Crawford's fighting.

Why rely on nuance, facts and logic when you can bludgeon the other side with mindless repetition of "Duuur McDaniel's has potential :tooth and still be treated as if you were reasonable.

I usually defend boxing. But this is embarrassing for the sport.

It's also obscene how many outmatched opponents Crawford has brutalized. Like, it's inhumane.

They better have a stacked undercard for such a crappy main event.

Loma is past it.

Haney beats him via UD.

Yeah, Loma didn't look great. But that dude was a tough opponent on a bunch of levels: clearly coming into his own; f***ing huge, fights hands down and angles out at the waist; ex-sparring partner not going to get befuddled by Loma's angles.

Loma's conditioning (and the other guy's) were ridiculous. Those dudes were fighting like dogs in those final rounds.

Well, no one can question Garcia's bravery. He's 20 fights into his career, a minted social media moneymaker, and still taking on the hardest puncher in the sport not named Wilder.

It has nothing to do with bravery and everything to do with money. With Lomachenko being lined up to fight Haney and Josh Taylor being lined up for Jack Catterall Gervonta Davis represents one of the few big money fights available. Its good that he is taking the fight but lets not pretend he's being brave. The people who should be commended are the executives at PBC and Showtime for their willingness to work with DAZN let this fight happen when those network difficulties reportedly scuttled a possible Charlo/Munguia fight earlier this year.

They probably won't, and as someone that has seen a lot of Ava, and a fan of his, it's just not one he has more than a 5% chance of winning, if even that. It's going to take a miracle

The divorce is strong with this one.

Ryan is basically independently wealthy via social media and appearance fees at this point. Whatever extra $ a fight with Tank will reap over a fight with a lesser fighter just isn't significant, it's not going to impact his lifestyle one bit. The kid actually wants to prove something. He could coast (like Tank has) and still reap tens of millions over his career.

If we get Plant vs Benevidez and Bivol vs Beterbiev by next Fall, I'll be pretty content. Those are bangers. I'm most disappointed that Beterbiev is wasting his time with Yarde in January. Why? they just finalized it like last week. But could have been working on Bivol for April and May.

Maybe they're thinking he needs a tune-up since he's basically been inactive for years given how little resistance JMJ provided.

But how is he managing his money. Sports especially boxing are lined with former millionaires living in the poor house.

I would be happy but if Crawford vs. Spence doesn't happen I am burning this place down.

WHAT REASON DO YOU HAVE TO THINK THAT HE IS MISMANAGING HIS MONEY? You're just making **** up.

Tell me, how is this even the best financial decision - if he were all about banking money? He makes $3 million/fight fighting guys who can't hurt him, plus sponsorships, social media money, and appearance fees. That's all lined in perpetuity. He can make $10 million easy over the next 2 years. So how is facing the hardest puncher south of HW a good financial decision?

Why would you be making desperate, cash-in decisions this early in your career when you have guaranteed millions?

Was it a good financial decision for Leo Santa Cruz? The dude has basically not fought in the 2+ years since the Tank fight (he fought one 10 rder against a guy without a wiki... the first 10 rder he'd fought in a decade).

Risking getting KTFO is not a good financial decision, and Tank is currently at +175 to do this to Garcia.

Firstly, when did I say he was mismanaging his money? Secondly, if you don't know the multitudes of millionaire athletes that are dirt poor then you're not really paying attention to sports.

Once again, there is a difference between taking the biggest money fight available and making a desperate cash out fight. Why is it all or nothing with you?

Two plus years would be more than 24 months without a fight. Leo Santa Cruz only went like 15 months between fights. Stop exaggerating. Was it the right money making decision. I think it was a dumb decision but that situation isn't comparable. Leo Santa Cruz was jumping up to fight someone naturally bigger. Garcia is naturally the bigger fighter.

Ava did what he could, those first five were close to call, but Bud is on another level. If Bud fights like this against Spence, I wouldn't be confident.

Teofimo doesn't look as great as he used to. Hope he fights Haney eventually, that's a fight I would like to see. Now Spence vs Crawford won't happen in the first half because Spence got into another car accident so that'll be his go to excuse.

Teo asking if he still has it....he shouldn't fight Haney anytime soon...he needs a C+ level tune up fight to get some confidence back or else it'd be a bloodbath.
