Well that happens when you had two GB fighters fighting each other... you have a tainted Ring title... You think that the Ring title would be up for grabs if Garcia was with another promoter? F no... The worst thing to happen is the **** of titles out there that now includes the Ring title which used to mean something.

Martinez needs to do something special... because he is losing.

He doesn't look like the same fighter anymore...

That is why Canelo vs Mayweather is interesting, the weight advantage makes things so hard on the smaller man. Martinez absolutely beat the crap out of Chavez for 11 rounds, Chavez won zero seconds out of 33 minutes, and Martinez leaves the ring with a busted face, a broken hand and two messed up knees. Martinez was already slowing down some but that brutal fight vs Chavez jr. just took everything away from Martinez' body.

Murray won that fight. That second knock down was legit. Martinez reacted and looked like a man that had just gotten knocked down. Martinez got lucky tonight.

And 115-112 on one score card? Give me a break. Can't say I'm surprised though, the judging in boxing is a complete joke.

Rosenthal: Martinez wins 115-112 on all cards, if I understood Michael Buffer correctly. That's 8 rounds 4. Doesn't seem right.

You don't say.

Zab showed a lot of heart tonight and made it a really good fight. Awesome crowd at Barclays too.

Didn't catch Quillin-Guerrero but caught the others:

I had Murray winning the fight as well. 7-5 on rounds with the KD make it 115-112. The 2nd KD should've been called, it was clearly not a slip. I knew Murray would give it his all but didn't know he could actually do that to Martinez. What's funny about the scoring is that the fight wasn't being scored too badly after 8 rounds(yes, there was open scoring again). I think 2 cards had Martinez up a point at that point in the fight, so it was close but 8-4 is wide.

Garcia-Judah was a highly entertaining fight, especially after Judah was hurt. He really dug deep and put on a good performance but Garcia won most of the rounds and deserved the win. I want to see him fight the winner of Peterson-Matthysse next.

Khan was well...Khan. He looks good in spurts and crap in other spurts. If Diaz had more pop, Khan would've been in a lot more trouble than he was. I was expecting a better performance against a guy who many perceived as done but credit to Diaz for coming to fight. He almost pulled off a massive upset. BTW, the scoring was real solid in this fight from the judges. I had a slight Khan victory and that's pretty much how they saw it as well.

Caught Stiverne/Arreola later on the HBO-W replay, maybe the only good part of HBO-W not showing WCB broadcasts live anymore. Anyway, the KD that broke Arreola's nose really changed that fight as I thought Arreola started out decently. It was a solid heavyweight fight that had several moments of action but the winner was clearly Stiverne here. Good work to the body that broke down Arreola too. Stiverne will probably get destroyed by a Klitschko on HBO in his next fight. After the fight, he was calling out Vitali but I was sure that this was an eliminator for Wladimir? Gotta check that but either way...not much of a chance.

the bad thing about Judah looking so good last night is that he's gonna get another title shot/big name fight even though he's not good enough to beat the top 5 or 10 140 guys anymore. Judah is a gatekeeper, he's good enough to expose the Vernon Paris' but not beat any of the belt holders or top notch prospects

Had to catch a replay of Martinez-Murray. I thought Murray won, even if the second KD didn't count (which it should've). 115-112 on all scorecards...boxing judges never cease to amaze.

115-112 on the scorecards means that the judges thought that Martinez won 8 rounds. Does that sound right to you? He won 7 at most, and didn't get docked points for the second knock down. If it was called correctly along with that knock down, Murray wins the fight in a close UD. But as always the refs and judges are completely incompetent or corrupt. Murray was never going to escape with a decision in Argentina.

BTW, Murray and Trout are two examples of fighters that the sport needs. Both were extremely humble in defeat, even when both had legitimate beefs with the score cards. In Trouts case he lost fair and square, but had a legit beef with how wide the scoring was. Yet he didn't make a fuss about it. In Murray's case, he actually won. But he took the loss with class and didn't bitch about it.

Judah brings money to the table because of his name. So business wise it makes sense. If he fights the way he did last night, I don't mind him being used as a stepping stool for younger cats.

It is funny seeing the Mayweather/Mosley fight on Showtime with non HBO commentary and with all of their logos removed.

I agree with you... to me Murray won rounds 4 and 5.

I had it 114-113 for Murray.

Can somebody explain why De Leon vs Mares is supposed to be the fight of the night and some great fight? Don't get me wrong, it's a great matchup but I'm hearing some people talk about it like they're expecting fireworks. I know Mares makes for pretty good action but De Leon has never been exciting ever. I remember the Gonzalez fight was supposed to be a war and the same thing vs Gamboa, the most exciting De Leon fight ever was probably him getting Ko'd by Lopez

I predict a late stoppage by Mayweather...

I am not not impressed by Guerrero. In my opinion he isn't a world class fighter...

Mares will win because he is a mofo... Deleon is too slow and Mares if he force compels him, will box circles around him like Gamboa did a while ago, but I am hopeful for some fireworks.
