I'll play devil's advocate and say I'm a little surprised by how much praise Izzy is getting for this. It kind of feels like the GSP MW title thing. Like, you never wanna go up when there's a dominant champion, but then the journeyman guy wins it and you're all about it. But then maybe not if the dominant guy comes back again? lol idk. Good for him, but feels weird.

We need to see if he wants to defend the belt against Jones or the top contender before we can decide if it's a GSP situation.

I mean, the timing of him wanting to move to 205 like 6 days after Jones is no longer champ certainly isn't coincidence, right?

I guess, to give him the benefit of the doubt, maybe he thought he needed to beat Cannonier to clear the division? And just doesn't have interest in beating up RW again?

Anyway apparently Dustin and Conor isn’t done yet. Sounds like Dustin wants more money

Conor doesn't give red panty nights anymore. His % is massive. Cowboy mentioned that somewhere, so Dustin is probably a little surprised that it's not what he was expecting.

Edit - Dustin has signed now. Wonder if the UFC caved at all or if the threat of replacing him with Gaethje made him sign quick.

LOL I have no idea if this is true but I read a headline that Tito's first act as an elected official was to demand a recount in the state of California, which is honestly hilarious on like 7 different levels. I didn't investigate because it makes for funnier head canon if it's exactly what I thought it to be.

Conor is still donating 500k to Dustin's charity of choice.
That's pretty classy of a guy who's exhibited some really low moments over the last few years.
The organization will be using the money to build a Gym/Area for disadvantaged youth in Dustin's hometown. Gotta love that.
