Haye will find somehow to duck the fight all last min... until he weighs in then I will believe it.

I think he will get KO'ed. He has a questionable chin at the cruiserweight level and now that Wald is Hayden powered... god bless David Haye. Doesn't have a chance.

Huh. They got it live on HBO even. Meaning it's at 3:00am GMT? That says something. They think it's worth sacrificing the comfort of European fans for the chance at an American market, despite the previous complete lack of interest in Klitschkos.

HBO has the biggest pocketbook in the world of boxing... a HBO WBC fight makes more money than a European PPV or even a national broadcast by ARD or ZDF which is like our NBC or ABC.

Agbeko-Mares called off after Agbeko collapses.
http://sports.yahoo.com/box/news;_ylt=A ... off_042011

Kevin Iole of Yahoo! Sports wrote:According to Alan Hopper, a spokesman for Agbeko promoter Don King, Agbeko was holding his right leg after collapsing. Hopper said Agbeko was transported to Marina Del Ray Hospital on Monday, where emergency-room physician Susan Salazar treated him. Salazar told Agbeko that sciatic nerve injuries are not uncommon after a lengthy flight.

Hopper said Agbeko crossed in front of the vehicle to the driver’s side and collapsed, where he was holding his right buttocks and thigh.

Hopper said that Gluckman wants to see the results of Agbeko’s MRI. Hopper said Agbeko is still in pain and despondent over not being able to fight.

I sure hope he's alright...

The Ring's welterweight rankings came out. Ortiz debuts in the welterweight division at Number 3. Berto drops to Number 5.

I think if they ever fought, Mosley would defeat Ortiz, but The Ring could also be going by track record. Ortiz had an incredible bout with Berto while Mosley has looked less than stellar lately.

However...could The Ring be trying to block the linear welterweight title from being up for grabs in Pacquiao and Mosley's fight? May 1 marks a year since Mayweather fought Mosley and with no fight planned, The Ring will drop Mayweather from their rankings due to inactivity, which would have moved Mosley (who was Number 3) up a spot, marking the two top active welterweights fighting. Either way, as a boxing fan, there's a part of me that thinks the linear welterweight title should only be fought between Pacquiao and Mayweather anyway though who knows when (if) Mayweather will ever return to the ring, much less fight Pacquiao.

Also, Juanma drops from Number 1 to Number 4 while Gamboa, Chris John, and Salido in that order all move up a spot in the featherweight rankings.

He's going to be the new matchmaker for HBO. He's already had a meeting with somebody and it's in the works. By the end of this year, Dan Rafael will be deciding which fights will be on HBO," one source revealed. ... "They're going to fire Kery Davis. They're going to let him go. He's been catering to Al Haymon too much and that's why they're in the position that they're in now. That's why they're talking to Dan," another source revealed

Epic news if proves to be true...

Anyone give a **** about Pacman vs Mosley? I sure don't. I see Countdowns and previews posted to trackers, have no desire to get see any preamble to this. It's not a fair fight and there's no personality clash at all.

The countdown show isn't meant to appeal to the boxing crowd... that is why we are indifferent to it. I mean every boxing diehard thought that Mayweather/Marquez would bomb.... it made well over a million ppv buys. We just aren't connected to the whole mainstream/american idol/ etc crap...

Mayweather has a personality at least. And was making a comeback. There was all sorts to grab onto and make a show about. This is just a ho-hum, not-that-competitive boxing match between two respectful professionals.

This year is somewhat of a year of underdogs and upsets. JuanMa Lopez got upset, Berto got upset, heck even the NBA playoffs are full of upsets right now. Wouldn't surprise me if Mosley somehow manages to beat Pacquiao.

Mosley's got all the courage in the world. But someone's gotta protect him from himself. It's ridiculous for a veteran with all his success to take on a killer like Pacquaio this late into his career. He's going to get KO'd. That's his health and legacy.

Odds for Pacquiao are pretty steep. (-1250)

Odds for a KO/TKO are significantly better at just -147. Good bet?

I hope it ends early for Mosley sake... he is such a good guy and has a cast iron chin that I am scared for his health if it goes 12 rounds

Its just such a shame how things have worked out. I was a little pissed off about this matchup. I wanted to see Pac-man fight Andre Berto because I thought with his speed, power and youth he'd prove to be a tough match for Pacquio. But considering how pathetic he looked against Vitor Ortiz I guess this fight was the better choice after all.

So anyone want to bet Mayweather announces his return from his second retirement before the fight? In all fairness, he announced he was going to fight Marquez before Pacquiao fought Hatton.

As for tonight, I'm going to go with Pacquiao by a wide UD. All reports are that Pacquiao has hit every single step in training camp and has had less distractions. It looks like Mosley will be in more trouble than Cotto, Clottey, or Margarito.
