I'll give Broner the 5th, 6th, and 12th. With the knockdowns and the point deduction for the headbutt and because I never give even rounds, that means I had it 116-109 Maidana.

Um no. But Broner didn't sweep all those rounds you mentioned either. You must be one biased Broner fan or just completely blind to have thought that. I gave him the 5th, 6th, 11th(early work salvaged that round) and the 12th rounds.

116 - 109 was my personal score. In my eyes he only won 3 rounds. Stop drinking the kool-aid kid. Broner is good, but not Floyd good, or Pac good, or Canelo good or Cotto good, you get the point. He had not fought any worthy opponents until Maidana.

Broner did not come close to winning that fight, he got his ass kicked...plain and simple.

Great performance by Maidana, he kept up the pressure and had a lot of success with his left hooks. I did pick Broner before the fight but did say that it would be interesting to see what would happen if Broner didn't move around much and Maidana could catch him, I certainly got my answer in this fight.

The fight was exciting and all, but if the tables were reversed do you think Broner would give Maidana an immediate rematch? Absolutely not, and you're lying to yourself if you think otherwise. Broner would have moved on and would have completely forgotten about him. I want Maidana to move on to other fights. I want to see this loss sit and marinate with AB for a while. Broner isn't entitled to anything. Let his punk ass actually earn his way to the top this time, then he can get a rematch with Maidana.

An immediate rematch isn't necessary, this wasn't a close enough fight to warrant one. The middle tier of the WW division is interesting, a lot of quality fights to be made in 2014.

Unless Mayweather wants to fight him or Maidana wants to unify his title against Porter. There was no rematch clause.

I think a rematch would be a mistake for Adrien Broner, he took a ton of punishment in the fight. He's probably better off dropping back down to LW, by all accounts he still has the WBC title in that division. 135 is a rather weak division, so he'd be favored against just about everyone.

He can't even make weight at 135 anymore without killing himself. His power isn't enough to hang with the heavy hitters at 147, and would still have trouble against the top guys at 140(Garcia, Matthysse, Provodnikov). He's in a tough spot right now. I think he should move down to 140. He has a chance to do well in that division.

I thought he made 135 more comfortably and that he only moved up to 147 to get a crack at a weaker champion's (Malignaggi) belt? I could be wrong, I did think he should've made the move to 140 after the Rees fight. I felt like he skipped a hot division that was...say.,..a bit too hot.

I am back. That was Schaefer. Adrien Broner has picked up his rematch option with Broner and they will fight again, probably in April.
