That’s different because Silva is a trained fighter. Zion is not a trained fighter and would lose.

Just look at all the great champions in boxing and mma/ufc. Rarely do you see a huge muscular guy at the top.

McGregor is a professional fighter.
We have no clue if Zion is skilled in fighting.
At some point sheer size, weight and strength renders skill obsolete though. I think Zion falls into that category. That's just too much weight and strength moving around.
Could be wrong but I don't see McGregor making it out alive. lol

Jables wrote:It's a simple issue of reach and mass, McGregor is a twig compared to Zion. He's skipping FOUR weight classes, and they have those for a reason. But I know people mythologize professional fighters and UFC fans are kinda precious, so it's not a topic I'm going to bother with too much.
Yeah muscles would hurt Zion against Conor, the delusion is real, he's not fighting someone in his own class.

There are weight classes for professional fighters because a trained 6'6" 240lbs Anthony Joshua or 6'9" 260lbs Tyson Fury would most likely kill welterweights if they fought them. That does not apply to Zion because he's not a trained fighter, the size difference is no bigger than the one David Haye faced when he fought Nikola Valuev, here's a picture of that size difference -
This is a real picture, Haye is 6'3 217 and Nikola is 7'0" 316, Haye won the fight.
And we've already seen big size differences in the early days of the MMA when there were essentially no weight classes, Royce Gracie at 6'0 175lbs fought a 6'8" 500lbs sumo wrestler and won.
Zion being physically gifted doesn't mean he can take a kick to the face, knee or stomach, it doesn't mean he'd be able to eat a straight left hand or even see it coming for that matter. The people who think that size is the only thing that matters in fights have never sparred a day in their lives, or haven't been in an actual 1 on 1 fight either.
