I can't believe you don't remember the greatest fight of all time.

I just remember the fat white guy with the semi-mullet, after winning by elbow to the brainstem, lost to Gordeau. Then he did a promo about how he wanted super heavyweight kickboxing fights because he IS BACK. IDK foggy memory, but it was awesome regardless.

Andd as I type this I remember his name was Rozier or Rosier or something. So I assume Zane Frazier was the victim.

#19 - Kazushi "The Gracie Hunter" Sakuraba

Image

http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Kazushi-Sakuraba-84

Probably the biggest star of the early years of Pride, Sakuraba was the first true Japanese MMA superstar and famous for taking out members of the Gracie family. He famously fought for 90 minutes in his win over Royce Gracie. Saukraba's career record is 26-16-1-2, but that is somewhat misleading due to both fighting guys way bigger than him in many Pride fights and also due to piling up losses late in his career by hanging on too long. He does hold many notable victories, including wins over Masakatsu Funaki, Ken Shamrock, Rampage Jackson, Vitor Belfort, Guy Mezger, and Renzo Gracie. The much talked about potential fight between Sakuraba and Rickson Gracie may very well be the greatest fight we never got in MMA.

Love Saku.

I kinda think he should be higher, but I don't know if I could make the argument.

Yea. That win over Rampage was nuts. Rampage powerbombed him like 100 times and still got choked out.

And this dude needs to be much higher up on this list.

Cro Cop's career record is 28-10-2-1, with a Pride record of 18-4-2 and a UFC record of 4-6. #17 - Frank Shamrock

Frank Shamrock is a former UFC Middleweight champion, Strikeforce Middleweight champion, WEC Light Heavyweight champion, and Wrestling Observers Fighter of the Decade for the 1990s. Shamrock was also an early star in Pancrase. He holds a career record of 23-10-2, with victories over Tito Ortiz, Jeremy Horn, Masakatsu Funaki, and Bas Rutten. Had he not retired briefly in his prime, he could easily be in the top 10 on this list.

I think I've figured out the top 16...and if one of the 16 guys I came up with isn't in the list...then they got seriously robbed.

12-17 are so evenly matched is ridiculous. Picking between them is just splitting hairs.

#16 - Mark "The Hammer" Coleman

Image

http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Mark-Coleman-136

Winner of the UFC 10 and UFC 11 tournaments, Mark Coleman was also the first ever UFC Heavyweight champion. He then went on to Pride where he won the 2000 Openweight Grand Prix. Coleman has a misleading career record of 16-10, with victories over Dan Severn, Mauricio Rua, Igor Vovchanchyn, Stephan Bonnar, and Don Frye twice.

It would be funny if someone you thought could be in the top 16 didn't make the list. I doubt that could happen, though. Unless you're a hardcore Matt Serra fan or something.

I don't like Mark Coleman ahead of some of these other guys.

I'm waiting for him to be super upset that Tank Abbott is not on the list.

Nah, but there are three guys who aren't in the top 100 so far who I absolutely think are top 100, but wouldn't be in the top 15 tho. I already asked about one of them earlier.

There's no Q about Coleman this high (or higher), I don't think. The guy won so many damn tourneys, as Cammo points out.

Coleman is one of those guys who I could see an argument for lower, but on the flip side his peak was crazy high. Perhaps one of if not the baddest dudes around at one point, and since I've argued peak is very important, I think I'm fine with the placement.

Coleman vs Kerr would have been insane if both were roid ragin at the same time.

I don't have any strong feelings against it, but I just like Cro Cop more.

Frank Trigg, Dennis Hallman, Jeff Monson. I think all 3 are top 100 but definitely not top 15.
