This is like watching an old Matt Hughes fight. Take the guy down, beat him up for 10-15 seconds, pass guard beat him up again for another 10-15 seconds and adjust position again. Basically that just rinse and repeat for the whole round.

Barboza might need to really start to work on his ability to work off his back.

Wish saw Lee vs Tony with Lee not dealing with a nasty staff injection.

I think it's refreshing to see guys like Lee and Khabib lead the way with the idea that if you are going to bang with bros, you don't have to necessarily bang with bros on the feet, you can bang with bros from top position as well, even more effectively.

Ya usually when you think of ground and pound guys, you think kind of slow and a little boring fights if guys just grinding out wins. Lee and Khabib use the ground and pound as a way to just dominate their opponent and it's non stop action

Lol Barboza wobbles Lee with a headkick just to prove how stupid round breaks are.

Barboza is just a more explosive Pettis at this point. Clueless about takedown defense. This is why I always said he was a very favorable matchup for Khabib.

Barboza looks flat out clueless off his back. Don't see any technique, just him trying to explode to get up and it drains him so quickly.

That eye of his is jacked up.

The gap between the top 3 LW's to the rest is surprising big.

This is easy work for Khabib, McGregor, Ferguson.

His hips aren't terrible, you can see that in his mount escapes and half guard recovery. I think his biggest flaw is in takedown defense, but yea he's certainly no great guard player.

Kevin Lee vs Eddie Alvarez next. I only say this because I assume Conor gets the next title shot and Tony gets the winner of that fight.

Props to Bern for being on the Lee train the longest of anyone I can think of, at least on this board. He looked really impressive tonight.

I feel like Poirier is in this mix. Not sure if Lee's weight misses will be a factor.

Khabib's team is already in talks with McGregor. I assume that happens sometime around August?

I really want a Ferguson vs Nate Diaz fight.

Also, I've never seen anyone want to fight anyone as much as Lee wants to fight Khabib. He's been calling him out for YEARS at the same time everyone else has been trying to avoid that fight. I think he believes he would put Khabib on his back early and often.

I forgot about Poirier and that was just last week haha. This division is flat out stacked. There are plenty of different fights they can make with this division for sure
