How does he still get fights, this is some Artem level nonsense.
It's not like Penn could go to another organization and be a draw either.

BJ's a legend. I don't think it's a question of whether or not he deserves to fight. Especially on the prelims. He just shouldn't fight.

It's a detriment to his health.

Obviously he has to do what he thinks is right for he and his family so no judgment here, but as a fan of him as a great person and fighter, hurts to see that he could do long term damage to himself.

I think he just wants to go out on a win.
I just can’t see it happening unless he fights Mickey Gall or some clown though.
BJ just hasn’t been the same since GSP took his soul

Hopefully these aren't TBI symptoms. It's bad both ways, either those threats are real and his family were put in a bad situation or those threats aren't real and only his warped perception of events

Police spoke to an unidentified female who stated Tony Ferguson had “not slept for three days and was tearing apart the home” and “broke apart the fire place and believed someone placed a (computer) chip in his leg.” An unidentified male who’d called the police said the fighter had told him “someone was inside his walls.” Nearly two hours after the police made contact, Cristina Ferguson told police her husband’s trainer couldn’t get him to leave the house to see a doctor.

Hadn't slept awhile but... Thought somebody was living in the walls, a computer chip in his leg? Dude needs help, clearly. Sad

He sounds like TBI
That’s sad, could also be some sort of issue with medication etc. Who knows but those things sound pretty serious.

The UFC needs to take a page from the WWE, after the Chris Benoit murder suicide of his family and it being associated to multiple concussions, they created services to help and monitor any current or former WWE entertainer.
The UFC could learn a lot from them.

We all have a chemical imbalance. I don't think cte is accompanied with that level of complex paranoia usually. Sounds more like what meth-heads or other hardcore stimulant users experience.

It sounds like paranoid schizophrenia to me and we definitely don't all have that. Obviously that's not the only possible explanation, IDK much about meth heads.

Paranoid schizophrenia would be a lot more than a chemical imbalance. It's frequently induced by drugs, especially stimulants or hallucinogenics. One of my friends from high school who I've kept in touch with after he left that scene got addicted to meth. It's similar to a lot of the stories he tells, and I've since heard in docs. Would talk about how he'd hear knocking at the door or see police/fire dept walking up the steps ready to break it down. It could be organic, but I doubt it considering he's around people and has a career.

Schizophrenia is an extreme example of a chemical imbalance, but a chemical imbalance nonetheless. I'll bow out of this conversation because I'm not a psychologist but I've had experience with someone close to me having that exact condition and it was eerily similar to the stuff they are saying that TF believes (there was someone spying on them at all times, tracking his every move, etc. In this case this person believed he was being tracked by the CIA and the FBI was helping him fight back against them). Luckily there is a medication that snuffs it out almost completely, at least in the case I'm referencing.

I only post on this board for the most part but to this day I LOLZ at "Tony Ferguson is the type of guy who gives his corner advice between rounds."

It's not a chemical imbalance, there are anatomical differences in people with schizophrenia too. Fixed brain differences.

TF is clearly paranoid and manic. But those can be symptoms of any number of disorders...or just temporary.
