Sudoku is ok but I doubt it helps with concussion type issues. Keto is not something most people (of which athletes are most certainly included) should be doing. Anyways, wonder when long term brain health worry will hit MMA hard.

My point is it seems analogous to trying to stop a wildfire with a water dropper. The dude sounds to me like he slurs and stammers all the time. Maybe I'm wrong and its just the way he speaks (like how I was with Benson), but I doubt it. He has taken a lot of damage over the years, and is with a gym that is known for hard sparring IIRC.

On a related note, I started listening to the latest Fight Companion and Joe Schilling had no idea what "CTE" meant. He may want to look that sh*t up considering I think he was on the receiving end of a KO of the year nominee last year. That said, that type of don't give a crap attitude may be exactly what makes him a great fighter.

That's an important revelation, and kind of telling considering he was only 25.

But at the same time, we've seen even earlier cases in regards to football, and it's a sample of one, so a ton more info is required for reasonable perspective allowing fighters to make informed choices. We're a long way from that. They're going to be guinea pigs for many, many years longer than this, as football players were.

And I think it stands to reason more damage would be done in MMA, as it's the name of the game.

However, athletes entering and remaining in it are going to be in denial for monetary and competitive reasons, until they have no other option but to acknowledge it's super dangerous, realistically on a level that no other sport is. Cheerleading would have to be considered a close second at that point.

Until then, the viable MMA companies can get rich, similar to big pharma until patients later know the side effects, under the guise of plausible deniability.

In a way, I feel like MMA is more honest with how dangerous it is than football. It's cagefighting and they show guys get knocked out, instead of having them wear huge helmets and constantly talk about how much safer the sport is now. Plus the UFC never did fake studies that showed there was no link between MMA and concussions.

Damnit cbr we get that you like to troll bern and that you don't think Pettis is as attractive as the rest of the board and that you were jealous of the fatty with the Pettis reebok kit, but this is a little far don't you think?

On a more serious note, Milwaukee is basically one big dumpster fire, so I'm surprised anyone even noticed.

Ariel had some NY fighters on his show this week. Gian Villante is brain damaged, he sounds terrible. Doesn't help that he gets punched in the face more than any fighter in the UFC. At one point Ariel asked him why he doesn't join Serra-Longo full time and he basically said they're style is movement/don't get hit but his style is to punch and get punched (I'm editorializing a little here).

Seems like a douche in general too tbh.

So Bader is a free agent after his next fight. Rematch with Davis in Bellator?

UFC would be smart to let him walk. Let Bellator overpay for a guy nobody cares about. He'll fit in well in their 205 division.

To be fair, UFC's LHW division is also dog ****, but Bader doesn't change that one way or another.

If given the choice to ever see Ryan Bader fight again or not, I'd happily choose not.

Fedor signed a deal with Bellator and will face Matt Mitrione.

So the sweater was made famous YEARS ago. Years after that, I swear I remember him giving an interview where he said he no longer had the sweater, he had thrown it away, that it was just a random sweater. Then I think a few pics surfaced of him wearing it or whatever. Then he comes out on Spike with it ok. Just lulz.

CM Punk on Ariel's show. Says he will 100% come back, whether its for the UFC or not. Wants to fight in Jan or Feb. Also said there is 20/80 chance he fights at MW. Dude is going to get killed at MW. He said during the interview that he is walking around at 190-195. Hopefully he sticks to WW.
