At 155? I don't think it does anything for him. He'd just be another step away from the real prize which is Conor and the belt.

It was for the interim belt. Surely even the UFC isn't ridiculous enough to not give their interim champ a shot at the champion. Assuming he thinks he could beat Aldo anyway.

Khabib said that he doesn't "bully the little" and that he needs to fight Tony.

Yea that's what is interesting to me because Aldo is obviously a bigger name that Tony, unless Khabib likes the stylistic matchup of Tony better which is very possible.

IDK, not a big deal, I just thought I'd point it out because it seems like there is this narrative out there that Khabib is the boogeyman and nobody will fight him. Yet Aldo, being the bada** MFer that he is, jumped at the chance, only to have Khabib turn down the fight.

I'm assuming Aldo jumped at the chance because he thought it would lead him to get another shot at Conor. I really think this has gone beyond money/sport for him.

I don't know if you've seen his recent interview with Ariel on the MMA hour but it was a great one. Definitely would love to see Masvidal get the win.

Does Barnett popping for a fourth time put him solidly in the lead for the "biggest cheater of all time" award? Ahead of Chael and Vitor.

Goldie's last show is 207, guess the rumours were true.
I wonder who is replacing him.

This may not be a popular opinion but I actually don't think Goldy is too bad RELATIVE to the other pbp guys the UFC has. I think they have a couple of good color guys, but who else is doing good pbp work for them? Anik is just boring to me tbh.

Anik and Goldy are both terrible. Not sure who the pbp guy is, but the one who was with Dan Hardy is by far the best. He does the breakdowns with Dan Hardy too. The UFC would never make him their main pbp guy, but he is by far the best one they have.

Merica not ready for the British accent (seriously, I'm pretty sure that's what the guy told Ariel that the UFC basically told him LOL).

Take it FWIW coming from Jeremy Botter who has been wrong before, but he says the Jim Rome replacing Goldy rumors are true. Unless he's just trolling because this is so out of nowhere.

I like Rome from his radio show, but cannot see how he would be a good fit for a PBP guy for the UFC.

I disliked Rome when he was on ESPN. I think Anik is ok (though him with Florian was a problem). He's basically a neutral factor which would be an improvement from Goldie.

Dana White: Nurmagomedov vs. Ferguson interim title bout not happening after Ferguson wanted equal pay

Dana going all a "deal is a deal" but when one side can terminate the deal at any time and the other can't, it's not the same thing.

Have Anik and Rogan worked together?

You know its rare for me to stick up for the ufc but I actually will here. The fact that the ufc has the right to terminate the contract is part of the deal that is signed. If the fighters want to organize and make it to where a fight or a certain number of fights are guaranteed or whatever, then maybe that's on the table, but what Dana is saying isn't really contradictory here.

"A deal is a (arguably exploitative) deal."

I just meant that it's easy to say "a deal is a deal" when the deal is to your advantage and the fighter never had a real chance to make it otherwise.
