Re-read the post, how can he even get him into that position. A guy that large, it doesn't matter if you block, your going to get wrecked if your 140lbs.

An imanari roll goes right into a heel hook on a standing person. He doesn't need to get him to the ground first. If you bend someone's ankle the right way, they are going to the ground. Its instinctive to fall against the pressure being put on your ankle.
imanari roll would be probably top 5 dumbest things you can do in an altercation where soccer kicks are fair game. For Conor to have a chance, he'd have to stay outside Zion's range or shoot for a takedown and transition to a sub.

Maybe against another trained fighter. Zion ain't gonna be firing off a soccer kick when he has no idea what's happening. That requires instinct that only comes from being in fights. Most likely he freezes and locks his legs just like everyone else when someone dives at his ankle.

Regardless, after the first few exchanges swinging at air, Zion will be gassed and ripe for whatever Conor wants to do to him.

The fact that people are actually debating this is hilarious

For all you clueless guys out there, 16 min mark.

Brendan Schaub thinks very highly of NBA guys dominating in MMA

The fight would be over in under a minute anyway. Giving no rules to an mma fighter is asking for death lol.

Yea, MMA training makes a fighter so powerful that they can even knockout Grizzly bears in under 30 seconds.

Mcgregor. Lol.

U serious? Zions a basketball player and Mcgregor is a former ufc champ.

Muscle and size have nothing to do with it, grow up.

Zion ain’t a grizzly bear not even close. Anything to do with Zion in a fight is fantasy and what if’s.

Conor giving Zion an elite strike to the knee is reality. A two Elbow/Kick/Punch combo Zion is out of the fight (Counter right, Conor is brilliant in that aspect, Elbow in the clinch, Leg kick to the knee, Zion is dead in the water).

Once again Zion has no clue about range/parrying basically anything to do with a fight. This is one is no rules too so it would be even worse. Seriously giving an elite level championship mma fighter no rules against someone with no fighting background is asking for trouble.

McGregor wins. Anyone see the video of Roger Huerta knocking out some big college linebacker in a streetfight?

Zion with some MMA training would obviously destroy Conor though.

2 seconds in Zion would sh**t himself from a front kick lol if he charges in then is head is on a platter. This is an awful matchup. I think people here don’t know Conor is not just an elite striker he’s an elite counter puncher too.

I think Myles Garrett would probably destroy almost everyone in the UFC and this is coming from a longtime MMA fan. If Greg Hardy can be an ok UFC heavyweight imagine what this beast could do. I think only the top 5 UFC HWs would be able to beat this dude in a fight.

Considering the guy is all about a big pay day, its the size that he is scared of.

He wants no part of that match because Jake Paul is a punk Youtuber most people over 16 are barely aware of. The biggest name he could get to fight him after Nate Robinson is Ben Askren a guy who is now a meme himself.

Conor went 10 rounds with Floyd Mayweather one of the greatest boxers in history.

I mean Hardy is only an okay heavyweight because Dana spoon feeds him opponents for the most part.

I agree and Hardy got picked apart when he finally Volkov, but Myles Garrett appears to be on another level athletically. I mean, he looks way more jacked than even prime Arnold and is so explosive. Maybe saying he would beat anyone outside of the top 5 UFC HWs is a bit of an exaggeration, but he could definitely hold his own against anyone outside the top 10

Greg Hardy has been training for over 4 years full time now. He just got destroyed by an unranked fighter (he’s ranked 15th now).

Yes Garrett is more of a physical freak than Hardy, but Hardy is still a damn good athlete especially for his size and still gets demolished by unranked fighters after 4 years of training.

Garrett gets smoked by 95% of the HW that are on the UFC roster. And that’s not saying much with how horrible that division is. The only ones he beats are the tomato cans they have on to pump up fighters like Hardy.

Garrett isn’t beating any heavy weight that’s ranked top 300 in the world

I don't think Connor even with his far superior skill can manipulate him as easily. And Zion has a massive length advantage as well. I feel like Connor would be able to do it fighting extremely dirty but Zion would have a very real chance of straight up rag dolling him.

Exactly, but some folks here think a 140lb is easily going to snatch his arm or ankle and take him down in 30 sec
Lesner is another example, minimal fight training although he had a wrestling background from college, but still does good based on his freak size and athletism.

Leaner minimal fighting experience this **** embarrassing man

I wonder about some of you guys man

We're not talking about the average person here or a random Realgm user or a 50 pound size difference. But Zion who might be one of the strongest humans at his size in the world and who is 8 inches taller and 100 pounds heavier than Conor. And it's not like Conor is some sort of Bjj god. I don't think Conor has any chance on the ground, even as a brown belt. The size and strength difference is just too big to overcome.
Conor's way to winning is just being quick on his feet, waiting for Zion to make a move, evade and counter punch him.

I know far lesser fighters than McGregor who would snatch Zion's arm or ankle before he even knew what hit him.

Y'all are obsessed with strength and explosiveness. Sure, they are good attributes to have, but if you have zero training it won't matter. A trained fighter will win 95% of the time.

Someone like Ryan Hall would tear Zion's ankle up within 30 seconds.

Hilarious! Snatch his arm?? When Zion has like a 12" reach advantage?
I guess Bruce Lee would have kicked Tyson's ass too.

Zions a hall of fame boxer now?

Did no one see the video of the much smaller guy with MMA experience just demolish that college football player in a bar fight?

Size means almost nothing if you have no fight experience vs someone who does. Size only matters when both are equally skilled and yes the bigger guy will have an advantage then.

Why would Zion go for a leg kick it would be the weakest leg kick Conner has received and he’s see it coming a mile away

Lol McGregor.. he would do laps around Zion with those busty knees of his. One kick to the face or punch and Zion is knocked out. Size doesn't always matter.
