Shogun did a great job mixin up the attack and machida was just too reserved to get anything done. I think Shogun's aggressiveness and varied attack will lead him to another boring 5 round descision.
Otherwise,
Daley VIA KO
Stout VS Stephens I'm not sure about... I probably lean towards Stephens but Sammy's looked pretty good recently... da well, Stephens by TKO.
I'll take slice by KO
Cote definetely wins, Belcher stinks.
Did we watch the same fight? Shogun's attack was limited to vicious leg kicks, the only exchanges where all initiated by Lyoto and that played a large role into how much Shogun was able to land those leg kicks. I Think Lyoto will either put Shogun on the ground or go back to his reserved strategy and forces shogun to do something other than leg kick which will play into Lyoto's counter-striking.
Anyway, my picks:
Light Heavyweight Championship bout: Lyoto Machida (c) vs. Mauricio Rua
I've got Lyoto by TKO, he won't let Shogun just stalk and land leg kicks all fight again be it by forcing shogun to be more aggressive or by taking Shogun down.
Welterweight bout: Josh Koscheck vs. Paul Daley
I'd love ot see Daley pull it off because he's a great athlete with monster power, still think Kos is just too good of a wrestler if he doesn't try to stand and bang with Daley.
Lightweight bout: Sam Stout vs. Jeremy Stephens
Stout, should be a fun fight and stout's a tough guy.
Heavyweight bout: Kimbo Slice vs. Matt Mitrione
I'm hoping Kimbo beats the **** out of meathead, although Mitrione does have some nasty power and he moves better than kimbo.
Middleweight bout: Patrick Côté vs. Alan Belcher
I'm going with Belcher, kid's an athlete and pretty damn tough, just can't go with the ring rust for Cote.
On the prelims I really can't wait to catch the Credeur fight, dude can fight.
