^ It's funny because Nelson is going to make Kongo look horrible.

Was hoping for Nelson vs. Mir so I could make some money before the general public figures out Mir isn't that good.

^ I would love to see Nelson vs Mir as well, especially since Nelson beat Mir in a grappling contest a while back.

I have a man crush on Kongo. Dude just looks like a stud.

Recently read the rumor that this fight is off though.

Too bad he's not very good.

Just occurred to me that the difference in physiques may be the main hyping point for this fight. Will be cool to see the fat guy with the mullet make the musclebound Kongo look foolish.

That just occured to you? To me the obvious physical differences will hype this fight as long as the UFC gets the side by sides out. Big, ripped black guy vs the short fat hill-billy with a mullet? Only way they could build it up more would be if they got Kongo to grow out an afro.

Well, as was mentioned earlier, Kongo is indeed out, and it sounds like Mir might be the replacement after all.

This PPV is going to be huge....

Alessio Sakara is out as well due to the death of his father.

At first glance for some reason I thought that this wasn't a huge card, just purely due to the Wandy co-main (just based on its more than likely lack of relevance other than "popular" fighters), but properly looking, I find it hard to make up my mind on what fights should be on the undercard, pretty much everything is a good quality main card fight.

Really looking forward to this.

-Sotiropoulos is probably my favorite lightweight next to BJ. His fight with Joe Stevenson in Australia was such a dominating performance. His BJJ is so smooth.
-Thiago Silva will be fighting at UFC 117 vs Tim Boetsch.
-Mir would make this card even bigger, wow.

Although not all the fights have not be confirmed, my guess would be this:

Brock Lesnar vs Shane Carwin
Wanderlei Silva vs. Yoshihiro Akiyama
Frank Mir vs. Roy Nelson
Kurt Pellegrino vs. George Sotiropoulos
Nate Marquardt vs another opponent

But I wouldn't be surprised if Marquardt moves to another card.

They'd really screwed Boetsch, cutting him when 2-2 with 2 short notice fights. God, he's exciting.

I am diggin on George S also, dude is solid in all aspects but his BJJ is what makes him. Theres not too many guys around that are consistantly winning fights with BJJ but George is one of them.

There's a lot of man crushing going on in this thread. I'm heartened. Nick Ring has really opened hearts and minds.
