No idea why Sylvia would take this fight. He needs to gain back his legitamacy and he can not do that by fight a sideshow. A sideshow with (Please Use More Appropriate Word) power who may very well beat him because of his size and strength.

Sylvia has nothing to gain and everything to lose in this fight. Why not fight a guy like Rizzo or Herman instead and try to get back on the right track. I have no idea where Sylvia's head is right now.

No, this is a good fight. Pudz does not have ridiculous power in any way. He arms punches (which is the last thing you want to do with arms that size), he can't shoot and will suck at clinching. A pumping jab will do the trick.

Yet Pudz actually has a lot of hype behind him. Idiots are comparing him to Lesnar somehow.

Tim didn't train at all for this fight. Mercer caught him with a punch. Big deal. It happens. Sylvia is an unbelievably hard worker and has 1 punch KO power. I don't think he should be considered an easy win.

I think its a waste of time personally. A win won't mean anything because its a fight a former UFC heavyweight champion should win. But if he loses that would be his second loss to a MMA newbie and any legitimacy he ever had will be gone for good. He's gotta win big and then sign with Strikeforce since the UFC probably won't want anything to do with him.

If he wins this fight...supposibly he has Wes Sims next month...and thats already a win for him. I could see him getting a deal after that. But for UFC he would need another 2 wins after Sims to even be considered.

His UFC ship has sailed. I would be shocked if they resigned him. Strikeforce is a much more likely destination.

There is no upside for the UFC in signing Sylvia.

For some reason I thought Dana said Sylvia wouldn't be back.

He embarrassed himself and the sport. This fight gave the idiot boxing fans a reason to troll message boards claiming that MMA is a joke. I hope Pudz destroys him and Sylvia finally goes away.

I don't think he will ever fight in the UFC again.

I wonder if Sylvia has a drug problem ? If not his manager must. Is Tim still with the Miletich camp ? Hughes or somebody needs to talk some sense into this guy.

I remember that, he also included Arlovski in that discussion. That was around summer of fall of last year. I thought Arlovski could work his way back up, but now I think he is done.

Dana also said Kimbo would never fight in the UFC and samething with the Tito situation as well. When it comes down to it, Vince McMahon said it best..."It's all about the MONEY".

If guys like Sylvia and Arlovski can still draw then Dana would easily bring them back. I would rather see Sylvia and Arlovski get a chance then seeing James Toney.

Sylvia was never a draw when he was good, he certainly will not be now. Sylvia will not be back in the UFC. He is the anti-Kimbo. Better fighter, bot boring as hell.

Tim Sylvia weighed a lean 305 pounds at the weight in today. 25 pounds or so heavier than his opponent.

So much for my hope that Sylvia will be able to bring his career back from the dead. He's probably going to get thrashed.

On the plus side, he is probably the best Super Heavyweight in the world right now. :D
