Well still got to see the main event. Both guys were sluggish but Rizzo threw some good leg kicks. Easy win for him, it's obvious Shamrock should retire.

Shamrock is an ass**** and has ripped off fans w/ nonsense a good half dozen times now. I don't see the room for sympathy. Backing out of that Kimbo fight in the locker room? All the works? The Tito 'trilogy'?

Totally agree Shamwow is a complete tool, I actually enjoy watching him lose. He is NOT a legend like he thinks, he is the most overated fighter ever and his "legacy" is bogus and deserves to be tarnished. There probably couldn't be a bigger tool in MMA than Shamrock.
With that said, would it even be possible for him to tarnish his legacy? He's considered by many to be the first true mixed martial artist.

Frank probably the first real dominant modern day mixed martial artist, but man Ken was there from the beginning.
First UFC attendee, first King of Pancrase. First UFC superfight champ, right? Also, didn't he actually set up the first Pancrase event, which was one of, if not the first modern day MMA events (not going to say first because it was obviously sort of weird, with the open handed strikes, and the Shooto events I believe started earlier, although that was more like a professional wrestling if I'm not mistaken).

Ken is surely a OG, and he's been in the game since it started but I cant give him props as a MMA legend the dude is sloppy in every aspect of the game. I see him as a roided out meathead who got by with muscle. Even in the 1st UFC tourneys he couldnt cleanly submit cats that knew nothing bout submissions, Ken's grappling consist of a over under clinch and knees to the thighs.

I guess I just don't agree that because he is sloppy by today's standards that he necessarily can't be a legend.
I mean is Royce a legend? He sucked at everything besides his jits, and even then its not like his jits or guard would be amazing by today's standards.

You make a good point about Royce, he may not have been the best but he was ahead of his time with his BJJ, but Ken brought nothing to the table but muscle and a decent idea on how to defend against subs. It seems all he would do would grab and hit. Royce is a legend for bringing Jits to the table, Coleman for GNP, Frank Shamrock for being a true MMA fighter, Chuck for bringing back the striker with a crossover appeal, Randy for showing a solid gameplan can get the gold, Rizzo brought nasty leg kicks, Hughes showed what good ole american wrestling could do, these dudes are legends.IMHO I just cant seem to put Ken with these legends.

That video lead to me looking up more info about Pat Berry, which lead me to Neil Grove (who beat him twice) which lead me to James McSweeney. How on Earth is that guy in the UFC? Four wins and five losses with his biggest career win being Titties from the ultimate fighter.

The issue that has affected not only Filho, but also the majority of the fighters who competed on the pair of Australian cards, is that none of them have been paid by the promotion.

I read this the other day. It sucks when stuff like this happens, but it is a risk you run when you sign on to do these shows with random promoters who have no track record.
I hope those guys get paid though.
