This camera man sucks. Follow the action man. I'm confused, is the person on the ground at the end the guy who hit the girl? It certainly should be.

Whether you think Huerta is justified or not, he could be in deep crap for this. Jason Miller got hit with the "assault with a deadly weapon" charge under similar circumstances.

Well, assuming it's Huerta. Apparently, Austin Police had no idea this happened, so it's possible that much might not come out of this.

Severe lack of judgment to stomp the guy.

Was it even him that did the stomping? I can't tell.

Huerta may spend some time in the pokey, but he has gained a ton of new fans because of this.

It's pretty clearly him who punches and stomps at the end.

It's noble and I love it...but, eeeee, lack of judgment is right. Stomping can be considered attempted murder or serious levels of assault and pro fighters beating down can be considered assault with a deadly. The two combined? Ack.

Good for Huerta for what he did? Are you guys serious? He stomped a down and out man in the head and legitimately could have killed him. I mean if it was his wife, or sister or someone who he knew personally, I could see how he would be enraged enough to do something like that but from the video it seems like he had no connection with her.

The black guy sucker punched her from behind, the guy deserved a good beating no doubt but this was a serious lapse in judgement by Huerta.. Would you guys still be saying 'Good job Roger!' if he killed the guy or left him with serious brain damage? The stomp was unnecessary and it made the difference from noble to stupid in my books.

The idea of him defending the girl is great but it was stupid for him to have gone to those lengths for someone who he apparently did not know. That said, I don't know the full back story but that's my opinion.

While I agree with you to a degree, the guy is not a robot. In a fight like that, stuff escalates and people do things they regret later. Roger did show some poor judgment toward the end, but that guy deserved everything he got and overall Huerta should be commended for what he did, even if he took it a little too far.

And yes, I would still be saying "Good job Roger" if that guy was in a coma right now, because he waved his right to me caring about him when he hit a defenseless woman from behind. I'm not a violent guy, but if you KO a woman, I have no problem with you getting kicked in the head. A full out swing from a 250 pound man to an unsuspecting woman could kill her just as easily as Huerta's stomps could have killed him.

Definitely. I hope you don't think I'm defending the guy because I'm definitely not, but I guess I'm one of those 'An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind' type guys. Would my opinion be different if it were his sister, or wife? Absolutely, regardless of whether or not I'm contradicting myself.. It's different when it's someone you know, male or female.

Huerta never fought in PRIDE. He doesn't know the proper way to head stomp. Joking aside (I think everything is a joke as a disclaimer), for all we will ever know this guy does have brain damage.
For all we know we will never find whether not the extent of his injuries/the situation/etc. all we are dealt with is face knowledge and a brutal two-fold beating.

Had we been a part of the bystanders who had done nothing we would like laugh to our friends for two weeks and then feel terrible about the whole situation.

Had we been an offending party, we would live with our decision that will most likely send is into dementia of some variety.

Had we been the woman, we would have for the majority here as a woman, a new thing to us being as we were at a club and never expected to log onto the internet (at other places, if you feel like delving that far) to find the response to our brutal beating consisting of partially people who think I deserve it for some inherent reason.

Also a possibility, is that we will definitely not know the sensation that ripped through Huerta's body as he realized standard human capability and his ability to destroy it at a whim for the first time in his life despite probably believing his ability to do so. As well as the subsequent praise/hate that he will receive because of it .

The guy isn't dead. Fundamentally that's a good thing. Elsewise, it becomes gray. I refuse to justify/berate/identify with/emphasize with any of this individuals involved. At face value, I am at peace with who I side with should no further reliable information come forth. I doubt any reliable information comes forth. But I trust the media to run with any single thing that comes forth. further hindering any potential objective analysis.

So, as of now. I have nothing to add and that's my explanation why.

Your point is valid, I just think in that situation it is next to impossible to think clearly. Even if you are a person paid to think clearly in a fight.

I definitely agree that Huerta could have used better judgment. But, I also think what he did was borderline heroic and he should be commended for it. I also could care less what the end result for the guy who hit the girl is. He clearly did not care about her well being, so I don't care about his.

Plus, did anyone else find it a little funny that when Huerta and the guy first squared off, he was wearing a wife beater? If that is not irony, I don't know what is.
