http://www.sherdog.com/news/news/Bellat ... rney-27521 I've been wondering why Razor Rob, Huerta and Din Thomas are not in UFC . They all could add depth to an already stacked division. At worst they should be in StrikeForce .

Din Thomas is a 145 pounder now and rightfully so. He would do well in the WEC though. Razor Rob would get killed by any decent 155 pounder the UFC has. He is exciting, but not particularly good, especially if the fight goes to the ground. Huerta is a UFC level fighter, but he wanted too much money when his contract came up.
Eddie Alvarez is the guy that needs to be in the UFC. IMO he replaces Shields as the #1 guy that needs to be in the UFC.

Bellator looking good these days, I wouldnt be surprised if Askren bounces to the UFC soon though. Razor was a nice addition though.

Razor Rob couldn't even hang with the top 155ers in WEC. It would be disgusting to see him against a decent UFC LW. He's exciting though and is a nice addition to Bellator.
Huerta should still be in the UFC, but he's a bit overrated both as a fighter and as a draw (does anybody REALLY care that he was the first fighter on the cover of SI?), and the UFC must feel the same way, because they didn't want to give him what he was asking for (may also have something to do with the acting/modelling).
Din Thomas would be an awesome addition to WEC's 145 lb division. Don't think he's much of a threat to Aldo, but it would be a fight I'd like to see, and I think he could definitely hang with the other contenders.
For what it's worth, even though I'm horrible at keeping up with it, I think Bellator puts out a better product (and has a much better sense of their place in the industry) than Strikeforce.

I agree with everything here, especially the bold part. The only problem I have with Bellator is that they seem to be in love with wrestlers, which often makes for boring fights.

You know, for all their talk, Zuffa did absolutely jack **** when it came to promoting Huerta and Escudero as a conduit into Mexico. Bellator, they're doing it properly and I agree, much better product (and more accessible) than Strikeforce.

I think the whole UFC to Mexico thing was more of a media creation than an actual plan the UFC had. It also doesn't help that Huerta went AWOL thinking he was a movie star and Efrain started sucking.
In Bellator, Huerta is a big name. In the UFC, Huerta is just another dude who can't beat the Edgar's and Maynard's of the world.
