Anyone ever hit up any local shows to support the lesser known fighters?

I've lived in a bunch of places, but right now I'm in Minnesota and there seems to be a lot of good MMA out this way. Hit up an event every couple of months and the fights never disappoint.

Tonight watched an event in St. Paul, kid named Marcus Levesseur who has some pretty outstanding wrestling credentials in the main event, ended up getting triangled. But the whole event was good.

Anybody ever watch anyone go from unknown amateur to big promotion star?

Lots of small shows in the northwest. Guys I've seen fight at small shows up here:
-Mike Pierce (UFC)
-Ricky Story (UFC)
-Mario Miranda (UFC)
-Demetrious Johnson (WEC)
-Mike Hayes (Bellator)
-Nathan Coy (Strikeforce)
And about half of Team Quest.
