What are the special rules?

i think they are alternating rounds by sport, meaning one round will be mma rules and the next will be k1 rules. if mma is first then aoki wins... easy.

Crusher vs. Josh Thomson is pretty badass.

No Melendez/Aoki II though?

FW Title match should be sick, but Sengoku's fight between Sandro and Hioki is better IMO.

WW Title fight is kind of upsetting.

According to FEG president Tanikawa the next Dynamite!! 2010 card announcement will be on Friday and around 5 new fights will be announced.

Overeem would be sick but I don't think that will happen. Expect two of the fights to include Manhoef and Mousassi.

I think Overeem wins easily because of his superior striking. I was very disappointed with Duffee's in his previous fight even before his KO. But it's a better matchup than Fujita or Thompson.

Too much, too soon for Duffee. I hope he can wrestle, because if he stands with Ubereem, he will get brained.

Watch the Duffee/Assurio Silva fight. Duffee punches on the ground hard as hell. I think Overeem beats him up, gets cocky, goes for a standing guillotine and gets TKO'd shortly after on the ground trying to stand back up. But I almost always pick upsets so don't take my word.

Event starts in a few hours. Went last year, couldn't/didn't really want to swing it this year. May have to watch a stream since it isn't even being broadcast in Korea as far as I know.

The Aoki result was the happiest I've ever been after an MMA match I think.

Japanese MMA is dead, can you imagine that special rules crap in the UFC or SF? Aoki was a disgrace, I'm glad he got KTFO.

Yeah, only seen two of his fights. VS Duffee and VS Rogers.

Finally finished watching this event...can only take so much Michael Schiavello in one sitting.

I thought they were going to cut it way down this year too, but it was still 7 god damn hours. There are so many fights I don't even remember.

Highlights for me:
- Aoki getting his head nearly kneed clean off.
- Duffee getting KO'd and slumping through the ropes.
- The last round of Wicky vs. K-1 Max guy
- Sakuraba's ear falling off and the ensuing hilarity with the head wrap and "I'm sorry my ear fell off."
- Miyata's suplexes

Stuff that's actually important:
- Kawajiri beating Thomson. Even though his style isn't the greatest to watch, I think he's one of the few Japanese LWs that has a shot at competing in the US.
- Takaya taking down Fernandes. Always thought that Fernandes was kind of shaky as the FW champ for the 2nd biggest org in the world, but I was surprised he lost...not sure I'm all that sold on Takaya either though. Imagine either one of those guys vs. Aldo.
