Condit's KO of Hardy

I chose Rich over Chuck. Dude had a broken ****in arm and KO'd him.

That's a good point. If Chuck didn't have a glass jaw now, I'd switch my vote.

Using the same rationale that resulted in me picking Silva for SubOTY, I'll take Shogun over Machida. Coming off a controversial fight in which many thought he beat a guy who was supposed to be untouchable, the hype surrounding the second fight was very high. And like the Silva/Sonnen fight, this fight had big stakes. I'll give Shogun the nod for KOing Machida in one of the more memorable moments of the year

Condit over Hardy, but I think I would have given it to Cain KO'ing Nog if the choice were there. I remember it being pretty nasty.

^ i think that should be a nominee too. i voted for shogun because he sent a huge message to the lhw division. i don't think anyone expected that. he made machida look human.

Shogun on Machida, if felt as if Shogun was taking all the frustration of the people from the first fight in his punches.

I think Condit had the better knockout technically, but the fact that Shogun's was for the championship and it was against an undefeated Machida weighs more heavily for me. My vote goes to Shogun.

I was looking for this at mma.tv all week and forgot about it. Weird year. 3 KO slams against pretty high level opponents by other high level opponents (Gerald Harris, Wineland and Sarah Kaufman)

Also the correct answer is Lawler against Manhoef.
