Based on the guys listed, definitely Pettis. I think George Sot(Stevenson, Pellegrino, Lauzon) and Evan Dunham(Escudero, Griffin, Sherk) both deserve it more than Pettis tho. I mean, there was a serious talent gap between the WEC and the UFC lightweight divisions...

On January 1, 2010, I'm not sure I could have picked him out of a lineup. Now he's been on MTV, is the WEC Champ, has the highlight of the year, and will be fighting for the UFC title next. Definition of a breakthrough star.
