Scott Coker: There have been "preliminary discussions only" for Hendo vs. Fedor. Wouldn't be in June/July when Hendo wants to fight next.

i guess there might be some life to the rumor

on the other hand. the following is what a source says vadim has said to this news

"We haven't got an offer to fight with Hendo and don't believe Fedor needs to drop to LHW"

"Then FInkelstein added: "Today many fighters drop from 130kg to 120. I believe there is a need to divide HW into two separate classes"

"Finkelstaein: "...with one class having a limit of 108 kg and another 120" Also said that competition have risen and weight makes difference""

I am torn. I think its an interesting bout and Henderson has wanted it for a while but I don't really think it does anything for Fedor's career.

It seems like it is Scott Coker's goal to make his titles meaningless and challenged as few times as possible.

That said, this is a fight I definitely want to see. It is also pretty much the biggest fight Strikeforce can make.

Somewhat interesting, but at this point it's more like the Couture vs. Big Nog fight was at the time. Not particularly important in the present day, but gives the winner a real shot in the arm for GOAT discussion. One can only hope the fight ends up being that good.
