Who is the toughest in the world?

everyone will immediately say some mma fighter but how usefull are mma things in real life? most of it is useless if someone gouges your eye

imo the toughest person is probably a soldier and probably some guy form the middle east or africa. Someone who will gouge your eye

Only problem with this argument is that a lot of mm fighters are/were soldiers.

Plus, imagine someone like Cain Velazquez powering a double into side control and then eye gouging or nut punching some dude. Yeaaa...

I know this is a trolling thread for teh lulz (not a particularly good one though), but I don't get this logic. Because MMA fighters don't break the rules of their sport by eye gouging, they are incapable of doing so in an actual fight?

And how are we defining the toughest? Who would win a worldwide open weight no holds barred tournament? MMA fighters are kind of the only option, since these eye gouging soldiers are still anonymous.

I'm not sure why I'm bothering, but I doubt you could attribute somebody's toughness entirely to genetics. There would certainly be environmental factors involved, and I'm not sure what environment would breed toughness more often than growing up in a warzone.

In MMA, I think Chris Leben is the toughest dude. In the world, I have no freaking clue and it is kind of impossible to quantify.
