In either MMA or Boxing what fight that has not been made yet is the fight that you most want to see?

Silva vs Jones.
Mayweather vs Pacquiao is a close second.

Mayweather vs Pac, with Silva vs Jones as a very close second. I'm not even that big of a boxing fan but that would probably be the most hyped fight in any combat sport, ever.

GSP vs. Silva...both have dominated their divisions for so long and I've been waiting for this fight for a long time.
Silva vs. Jones is a close second...I'm more excited for Jones' fights against his weight class than GSP b/c there are so many good LH that Jones hasn't faced yet...I'd really like to see a Jones-Machida fight.

In all honesty, I can't understand the poll results. Maybe people have just gotten jaded because of all the time Mayweather has wasted but I honestly cannot see any fight in either sport coming close to Mayweather vs. Pacquio in a poll of which fight do you want to see the most. No other fight in either sport would mean as much. The closest MMA ever had to offer to something like Mayweather vs. Pac-man was Fedor vs. Randy Couture and GSP vs. Anderson Silva. While Fedor vs. Couture is never going to happen GSP vs. Silva could still happen and yet it only got 2 votes. I just don't get it.

I think there are just more mma fans that participate on this board. Look at the threads and that is evident.
For me, EVERYTHING being equal, its Pac/Mayweather without a doubt. But since I personally enjoy mma so much more, I'll take Jones/Silva.

Much prefer MMA to boxing, but even still, Pac/Floyd is the fight I want to see the most.

I answered in terms of what I want to see most, as the question stated. If it were simply in terms of objectivity, then I'd go with Mayweather/Pacquaio easily. Nothing comes close in terms of mass appeal and hype. But I'd prefer to see a Jones/Silva match since I prefer MMA and I think it would be arguably more competitive and likely more entertaining than any of the above match-ups.

Silva/GSP.

GSP and Silva if it were on a level playing field. The size difference just make me less interested in pushing for the fight. It's just not practical for St Pierre to move up and meet him at Middleweight.
I'd like to see:
Jon Jones vs Machida
Overeem vs Velasquez
Cotto vs Mayweather

Because it's a more realistic fight, in the sense that it would be competitive. GSP is too small for Anderson. If they fought Anderson would probably crush him, regardless of how skilled GSP is.
I voted other, but upon thinking more, Money/Pac is my answer. As far as MMA goes, I would love to see Anderson/Shogun.

no its not, all the ppl counting gsp out is incredible, he's starting to be underrated, silva can drop to 170 if he wanted, jones cant drop to 185 no way.
but the thing for me is why a guy who has no more than 20 fights with only 1 defense should step in a cage with a already stabilished legend, if a super-fight needs to happen, it will be legend x legend not legend x hype, im not saying hes not good, im saying hes not there yet.

It stopped being hype when he delivered and won the belt. Jones is the real deal. And to simply say Jones has been winning would be a huge understatement.

Here's a twist to the idea...which of these fights has the best (and worst) chance of actually happening?
And why do I feel like Mayweather/Pacquiao is the answer to both?

Evans/Jones obviously has the best chance of happening. Mayweather/Pacman has the worst chance IMO.

^Yeah, I'm not even counting Evans/Jones and the two fights with Martinez. It's between Pacman/Mayweather, Silva/GSP, and Silva/Jones. I think everything else is pretty far behind.
The idea that Pacman/Mayweather is the least likely when it's the only one in one weight class and the one that needs to happen most is pretty sad.

That is probably a true statement. The weight is a non issue as the other fights might present and then the posturing that has been happening on both sides have gone one for years for Mayweather and Pacquiao. The Mayweather/Pacquiao has to happen! With emergence of MMA boxing has become a joke with the title belts and level of competition and fighters avoiding to fight the best fighters. In the last few years UFC has had the majority of the top 10 in PPV for the exception of Mayweather or Pacquiao bouts.
