Don't know if anyone else listens to any MMA podcasts, but I thought I'd list some of the ones I listen to, give a little description, and hopefully other people will do the same. They make my long commute to work go by a lot faster, and with Tim and Sid off the air and no NBA to talk about, I need some stuff to eat up time.

Sherdog - Beatdown Radio (M, W, F + pre/post event shows)
My favourite of the Sherdog podcasts, but still not something I listen to unless regularly unless I have nothing else. Best ones are the UFC (and occasionally Strikeforce) pre-event Roundtable (where they have about 4-5 MMA journalists discuss and make picks for every fight, from the Facebook curtain-jerker to the main event) and the post-event Beatdown After the Bell (goes live right after the event, gets reaction and analysis from the hosts and calls from fans) podcasts.

Sherdog - The Jordan Breen Show (T/Th)
Can be good, depending on how much Jordan Breen you can take. He's obviously a smart guy and very knowledgeable about MMA, but he certainly goes out of his way to show you just how smart and knowledgeable he is. Can be kind of a pretentious dork at times, but can also offer some really good insight, and gives a lot of attention to smaller organizations, especially abroad.

Sherdog - The Savage Dog Show (M, W, F)
I don't actually bother with this one anymore. Too much unfunny personal banter that I doubt anyone cares about. Don't really bring anything to the table other than decent guests at times.

AOL Fanhouse - The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani (M or T)
Probably the best MMA podcast out there. I like Helwani, and he usually gets really good guests on. When he does, he gets quite a bit of info out of the interviews as well, though you can really start to see why some people might consider him an instigator.

The Score - The MMA Show with Mauro Ranallo (M-F)
This one is either fairly new, or only hit my radar recently, but I like it. Ranallo can be a bit much at times, but overall he's not bad. Going daily allows him to get to stories immediately, which is great. He gets really good guests, but sometimes they are either prerecorded interviews (which is fine with me; by the time it hits podcast form, everything is prerecorded) or from press conferences (not so great, but if you haven't heard the presser already, it's not bad, since I'm more likely to listen to one on the subway than sit in front of my laptop at home and watch). Just kinda sucks when you see Jon Jones and Lyoto Machida on the list of guests and it ends up just being the UFC 140 press conference. Still, I recommend this one, as long as you know going in that you're getting Mauro Ranallo, and lots of him.

Don't think there are any more I listen to. Downloaded MMA Junkie radio once, but I think it's like 4 hours long, every day, so I didn't bother with it.

Have you listen to bloodyelbow/mma nation radio is pretty good in my estimation.

I love BE by the way... Luke and Brent are among the guys I always go to for MMA insight.

^ Nice, I'll give em a shot. I know Luke Thomas has been on the Sherdog shows fairly often, but it's kind of hard to remember what he's like.

Of all mma writers/journalists, the ONE guy I can't handle is Tomas Rios, I think he writes for sherdog.

I'd rather listen to Frank Shamrock commentate that read/listen to that guy.

+Jordan Breen's show for me as well. his knowledge is incredible. he can be pretentious, but he's not on Luke Thomas' level (who I actually also enjoy listening to).

Helwani usually has a number of good guests and he's able to fill up a lot of time with his questions.

Gross Point Blank with Josh Gross from ESPN isn't bad either. it's usually 45 minutes or so with 1-2 guests and a recap of the past week or upcoming week in mma. he's one of the better guys out there at analyzing matchups.

Tomas Rios is not a host on any of them, but he is occasionally brought in as a guest or contributor for the pre-event roundtable shows.

Nice. I had looked for Gross Point Blank before, but I didn't know it had moved to ESPN. Gonna check it out.

Wanted to say I've been listening to a lot more mma podcasts during work recently, and really enjoy them, so thanks for the thread. Anyone else picked up any shows?

I listen to Breen. He DOES seem to be really knowledgeable although I'm not sure he's chosen a major fight correctly since I started listening, haha.

I'm actually shocked I can handle Mauro, but I really enjoy his show. Pretty good guests, not always huge names but its good to hear from lesser known people as well. Feel like it may not be so accessible to people not familiar with Mauro and his awkwardness. His awkward jokes and laugh can be...much at times. lol

Already listened to the mmahour most of the time, so nothing new here for me.

The mmajunkie one is good as well, its cool how they have in-studio guests all the time and are pretty laid back, although I usually tune out when they go on tangents.

The Gross show is pretty good. Shorter and weekly, so it seems to me thus far that its a lot more post fight reaction rather than ore-fight analysis, so depends what you are in the mood for I'd say. Actually kind of surprised that an espn host shows pretty good knowledge of mma, as opposed to the cliche spewing that usually goes on. Refreshing.

Haven't hit up bloodyelbow or any of the non-Breen sherdog shows yet.
