i wonder who else zuffa has signed. you would imagine some more names would come out soon. i don't know as much about the 125 division as i should.
some names to consider:
Jussier da Silva
Shinichi Kojima
Mitsuhisa Sunabe
Rambaa Somdet
Mamoru Yamaguchi
Dustin Ortiz
Kiyotaka Shimizu
Akira Kibe
Yuki Yasunaga
Darrell Montague
and i know pretty much zilch about all of them. help me jordan breen or bloodyelbow.

Ortiz is a well rounded, scrappy cat. I think he fought McCall really closely, who is widely considered number one flyweight I think.
Only other guys on that list I have seen fight are da Silva and I think Montague.

But it's going to be hard to keep track of all these guys and who is which class at the moment.

It's crazy that they poached the current flyweight champs from other orgs.

Awesome news.
I'm gonna have to do some research on these guys though. From what I can tell though, that tournament will 100% crown the best 125er in the world, so good news there. **** and McCall are #1 and #2 in the world, and Johnson and Benavidez are top 5ers at 135.

I would not expect a glut of 125 pounders any time soon. I think they will grow it pretty slowly. You have the 4 guys in the tourney, Dodson and Gaudinot, and maybe a couple other guys like Ortiz, Campuzano, and da Silva who will probably come in. But, I do not expect to see the UFC go out and start signing flyweights left and right. The division is really weak right now and the UFC will probably go very slow with it at first.
