I'll probably make this my first live UFC event. I can plan a vacation around it and MTL's a better city than Toronto (best on the continent, really) and it should be much cheaper.

Probably headlined by GSP.
If he's due back next Oct-Nov. that would make sense for his next fight.

^?
This is in like 4 months.
GSP won't be on it.
I wonder who they have in mind to main event. I'm thinking Shogun vs. someone? Maybe Machida, but I kind of hope that's not the case.
Guys seem to be fighting a bit more often with all of these added events, so it could be someone that is fighting in the next month or so.

What do people think of mills? I have high expectations for rory and want him fighting good fighters.

Mills isn't bad, but it's a step down in competition.
He was scheduled to fight Ebersole, and I think Mills is even further down the list.
Sometimes I don't get what the UFC is doing with prospects like Rory. He goes from fighting Condit in his 2nd fight in the UFC, to Nate Diaz, to Mike Pyle, and now Ebersole/Mills? It's going in the wrong direction.

I'd like to see Sonnen vs Silva II on that card. If Sonnen can beat Munoz (big if) he could rest up for 2 weeks after the fight, have a solid 5 week training camp and then rest up for 5-6 days before he takes on Silva. I think the timeline is a little tight but not anything he could use as an excuse.

That ain't happening, lol.
Read that Maynard vs. Guida might be on this card, but it hasn't even made the MMA Junkie rumours section, let alone been officially announced.

I didn't see his fight against Junior (which was taken with a month's notice), but he looked awesome against Soto, who IMO is more athletic and more of a finisher than MH. Hominick is definitely the better striker, but Yagin's a seriously powerful guy with good wrestling.

Good fight. Maynard should win, but that means it should be a pretty entertaining fight, as Guida's fights are usually pretty good when he can't Clay N Pray.
Should be 3rd from the top, but I could see them trying to pass it off as a co-main event. Depends on the strength of the main event I guess.

pretty dissapointing card thus far IMO. Needs a bigtime main event to salvage it.

Anyone know what the deal is with tickets? It seems to be completely sold out, which is a bit shocking.
