Mayweather just called Pacquiao out on Twitter

Manny Pacquiao I'm calling you out let's fight May 5th and give the world what they want to see.

I know Pacquiao is nice and loyal, but he needs to fire Bob Arum cuz this fight will never happen if Arum is involved in the negotiations. Pac has agreed to the blood testing and said he is even willing to take the lower cut. I really don't see anything standing in the way of this fight, so lets make this happen already

I haven't followed boxing in two years, but this is one fight I would want to see; although, I don't think the fighter I cheer for will win :(

This might be the last realistic chance left. They're already on the back-end of their primes, it's now or never.

Could this possibly be some sort of game? I actually don't think so. May 5th!

There is 0 reason this fight shouldn't happen. If Floyd is serious, the onus is on Pac at the moment. Both have more or less been at fault for the fight not happening in the past.

Just get. this. done.

Please.

Unfortunately, at this point I think Manny Pacquio is boxing version of Fedor. He'll fight whoever his management puts in front of him. Its usually ok but when there is a big time fight out there that the fight fans want to see it won't happen if the management doesn't want it. Sucks a$$.

Someone needs to punch Bob Arum in his head and send him on his way. He serves no purpose other than to screw things up

Maybe you stick with figure skating then.

Anyways, Arum will find a way to f'k us all and this fight will never happen.

If if did though, Money all day and night, PacMan gets throttled. (And would've three years ago as well.)

Pretty sure I saw somewhere that pac's camp thought May 5th was way too soon. Something about not giving this fight the proper lead in time to be promoted. Though I somewhat agree with that assesment, most fight fans and there mothers want to see this fight. It could be tomorrow night and the buyrate would be amazing... Wonder why PBF is so anxious to do this fight all the sudden?

But I think Pac wipes out mayweather. Eventually Mayweather is going to get hit and be wobbled and unlike when Mosley got him, Pacman will finish him.

They'll probably end up ducking each other while vehemently accusing the other of ducking and preventing the fight from happening.

Apparently Team Pacquiao does not want the fight to happen on May 5th because they believe the cut he acquired in his fight with JMM will not be fully healed until April 1st. That's the only time he can engage in any sparring activity. It is reported that the cut was so bad it needed 3 layers of stitching.

Honestly, I don't care about the date. I just want both fighters to sign the dotted line.

Ugh.

If it's not that date, it will be ages longer until they fight. Cos Floyd is fighting _someone_ on that date. It's booked. There will only be delay if Pac doesn't take it.

Freddie Roach speaks the truth

http://espn.go.com/boxing/story/_/id/7458704/freddie-roach-pushing-hard-manny-pacquiao-floyd-mayweather-fight

"This is good news that he called Manny out. Both guys want to fight each other, and we need to get this done, now or never."

Although Roach wants the fight -- May 5 or later in the month -- he isn't convinced it will happen until after Mayweather's jail sentence.

"My theory on what's going to happen is Mayweather will fight someone [May 5] and Pacquiao will fight Lamont Peterson or [Timothy] Bradley [in June], and in November they'll finally fight each other," Roach said. "I know Mayweather got 90 days, but he can be out a lot sooner for good behavior.

"I truly, truly, truly hope they fight as soon as possible. That's my dream. I love the fight."

Roach said the cut issue was bogus.

"They do take time to heal, but I don't think that's a big issue, to be honest with you," Roach said, recalling how during his boxing career he suffered three cuts in a fight, each of which needed about eight stitches, and fought a month later.

Ultimately, Roach said, there have been too many excuses on both sides. He said the reason this fight has been hung up for so long comes down to the animosity between Arum and Mayweather's adviser, Al Haymon, as well as Golden Boy, the promoter Mayweather works with.

"It's ridiculous that two grown men can't do business together," Roach said. "It's like they both want to take their ball and go home. F--- it, it's business. They just need to drop the issues they have with each other and negotiate. This is not personal. This is business. Golden Boy is part of that equation too.

"People are starting to go the other way and not care about this fight because it's taking so damn long to make it. You've got to do it soon. I think it's at its peak. It's definitely time."
