Glad to see that early reports of Edgar/Henderson being delayed look to have been premature.

Much less of an issue with the rematch with this in mind.

Phew, I hope Tavares can stay healthy otherwise that card's looking terrible outside of the main event.

No easy fights for Okami.

Last few fights: Boetsch, A. Silva, Marquardt, Munoz, Linhares and Sonnen.

Now he gets an extra-motivated Toquinho.

Yeah, I wasn't too excited about the rematch at first, but the closer we get to 150 the more pumped I get. I'd prefer to see someone new fight for the title, but the first fight was entertaining. I favor Bendo, but IMHO the turning point in the first fight was the upkick from the ground, which Bendo shouldn't be able to do again.

There is no way this fight turns out to be dull.

However, the first one was one of those weird fights to me. Round by round, 10 pt must, it was very close. That said, it just seemed like Bendo beat the **** out of Edgar the entire time.

Sounds like Cerrone/Guillard will bolster this lame card and set up the Pettis/Maynard number one contender match whenever Anthony is ready. Last I read the timetable was pushed back to September. But I'm holding out some hope he'll be recovered enough to get back in there in late September at UFC 152.

I'll give you credit if Herman manages to beat him, but right now he's 2-2 in the UFC with wins over Kampmann and Akiyama, and losses to GSP and Ellenberger. I'll admit he hasn't looked great, even in his wins, but the results are not all that bad.

Free fight. Going to sit back to this bad boy later, for sure. That was an amazing fight and an amazing event overall...Benson, Boetsch, Hunt, Pettis, Hioki...amazing.

Jake's standup may not be pretty, but his ground game is pretty serious.

He's a tough fight for anyone in the UFC at 170, but I think he'd be much better at 185 imo.

Cbr always bashing on Shark Fights. lol

I just rewatched the fight, and I forgot how close it was. Frankie won round 1, and Benson won round 4, but all the other rounds were very close. Frankie landed more shots and had more takedowns, but Benson did more damage and had more submission attempts that looked good. In the rematch I'll be rooting for Benson, because I want to see Edgar vs. Aldo.

Palhares off the card, injured. Carmozzi's opponent, Buddy Roberts (???), moved in against Okami.

Carmozzi also (too coincidentally?) suffered an injury in training.

This card really can't handle any injuries...a questionable PPV already.

I'd be happy if this clears the way for Palhares vs. Sonnen.

Cerrone needs to come out and be viscous, like he usually is.

Still not sure what happened in his Diaz fight, he looked......shook.

Melvin is just too cocky, and not good enough to be that cocky.
J-Lau said this week that when he fought Melvin, Melvin came out all boppy in his walkout to the hip-hop and basically was saying to Joe in body language that the fight was already won.
Joe said he couldn't wait to get at him.

They need to announce Maynard/Pettis soon. As soon as we see AP get a win against a good wrestler in the UFC, then I think we can say he is ready for the 155 title shot.

I used to think Maynard was a tough matchup for Pettis, but not if he keeps headhunting man. He isn't going to catch Anthony with that right, I can almost be sure of that. Now if he goes the Guida route, could be another story.
